I'm tempted to say he should be confirmed anyhow because this is what the people voted for, but Trump did not campaign on putting novices in charge of government departments.

If Warren's question was anything more than a cheap attempt at a "gotcha" moment she would have rephrased it. She would have said something like"If you are confirmed will you abide by the same policy that you want the generals to follow? "  Since she didn't then it was the former not the latter.

She was holding him to his own standards.

Sure it does. IF she was doing as you say why then did she not rephrase the question? She could have asked him directly if he would follow the same rule. Then you could have a point.  She truly did not want an answer. She phrased it that way to bait him and for effect. The dems were obliviously working from a script that had been established. Not a good script but one just the same. That question was assigned to her and she read it. Was a bad day for those guys.

Yep, I am fully aware of that. The last time Trump picked a cabinet he did not have the latitude he has now. He was required to pick candidates the Dems agreed with. (between the lines, people that would play ball with the establishment) That process does not compare at all with this one and using your word a red herring.  Who knows if all of them will work out. That is for us to see. The bar is laying on the ground and shouldn't be too hard to step over.

I bet after yesterday the DEI "general" crowd will be a bit nervous. We have 44 Generals?

State Farm left because the Democratic legislators engaged in price fixing, not allowing the companies to charge rates commensurate with the risks. Seems the state jumped in and now is holding the bag they wanted to force the insurance companies to.  This should only add to the State's large budget deficit. Seems they are running the state into the ground financially.
