I've always said I'm skeptical of the media across the board. I don't trust it because the people driving it have agendas that are not good for this country as a whole or for its people. If I refuted everything posted here that I don't agree with I'd practically live here and I don't have time for it. Plus, I can't even get on here 80% of the time anymore and when I do I'm trying to catch up on things. More often than not I've replied to comments only for them to be lost in space because the board has timed out. 

As for your very last sentence, be your own man. As the saying goes, 'be the change you want to see in the world'. Don't wait for others to be better, just be better. You'd be surprised at how your outlook changes when you take the first step.
