The Pelosi Act.......
Republican Unveils Stock Trading Ban Mirroring Senate’s ‘PELOSI Act’ Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has a long resume of accomplishments she would love to be remembered for, but her lasting legacy may be something that sullies her name forever. Pelosi is the first female Speaker in American history and managed to keep even her slim majorities together for historic votes. And she may be regarded as one of the most consequential Speakers of all time. However, her lasting legacy may be the establishment of a law named after her that prohibits members of Congress and their spouses from trading stocks, following the fortune she and her husband accumulated over the decades, according to Fox News. What is worse for the former Speaker is that the effort is bipartisan, with members of her own party signing on to support what has been dubbed in the Senate as the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act. https://conservativebrief.com/anti-support-91591 ![]()

My guess is she was expecting to be lauded. Just so I understand what I read; the gate to the facility opens to allow a bus through, these folks rush the gate to gain unlawful access, they're arrested just like any other citizen would be, and they're pulling the victim card. Having a position of authority doesn't mean anything if/when you're acting outside of your purview or breaking the law. Anyone just showing up to any facility has to go through a checklist to gain entry. Anyone gaining unlawful entry are going to be arrested. It's pretty simple. I commend the acting Attorney General for following the parameters of the law which is what should always happen. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

The folks who said people are now afraid to come here don't understand how illegal border crossings work. Those folks have no idea what's going on here. They want a better life and are told by smugglers or traffickers they can have that here for whatever the going rate is because America welcomes everyone and anything else they see or hear to the contrary are lies. So they pay the money, get to the border- hopefully without being sexually or physically assaulted or robbed along the way- and left to fend for themselves once they cross. Those willfully ignorant people he talked to also don't understand the drop in numbers is because of enforcement.

Does Trump uniquely piss me off? Sure. He tries to, though. He tries to do exactly the things that are going to get a reaction, because his base enjoys it when people react to Trump's actions. People, on this very forum, are always cheering for him to piss off the libs more. Getting pissed off when someone is deliberatle trying to piss you off might be a vice, but it's not a mental disorder.

The issue is they are a bit down the critical path to address in a sane way. That is unless you are a proponent of a trillion dollar bill that politicians can skim money from. You are going to need to be patient on those as the repair is in progress. Both of those issues will naturally get boosts from what is being done. I can understand you don't see the path to prosperity. There is a lot of misinformation out there by the anything Trump is bad crowd. This include politicians, media and Public Broadcasting. House Republicans Examining Biden’s Use Of Autopen For Pardons
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) announced Friday that the committee has launched an investigation into former President Joe Biden’s use of an autopen to authorize a series of controversial last-minute pardons. “So our newest investigation at [the] Oversight Committee is we’re investigating the autopen, and I think we’ve identified the staffer” who was using it, the chairman said during a speech at the Republican National Lawyers Association’s policy conference in Washington, according to the Washington Examiner. The committee’s investigation focuses on whether President Biden, whose cognitive health was reportedly deteriorating in his final months in office, was mentally capable of authorizing the use of the autopen for official documents, or if senior aides issued the pardons without his direct involvement. https://conservativebrief.com/house-biden-2-91621 ![]()

Would it be OK for Trump's people to send someone who is loyal to him to pose as a new volunteer for the Biden campaign, and that person can report everything they see and hear back to Trump? The person wouldn't go snooping where they weren't supposed to snoop, but they would report back to Trump. Now say they find out that Biden had taken lunch with Iranian intelligence officials. At that point, do you think a secret warrant could be issued, allowing that person to more forcefully snoop on what Biden was up to?

Just because there's no evidence it happened doesn't mean it's off the wall. Like if I asked you what would you do if you heard your brother was sick in the hospital. You would answer about making plans to go see him, or you'd say, "actually he and I don't get along" or "I don't have a brother.". You wouldn't say, "you deranged person! Why would you make up an off the wall story about my brother being sick!" It's a simple hypothetical. If you can't think it through to some sort of answer, then maybe you're the one whose brain isnt quite working right. Here, I'll go even easier on you. Say it's 2028 and both parties in the US are gone. The new parties are the Stars party and the Stripes party. President Skip Willis of the Stars party has decided to send folks to pose as Stripes party volunteers and report back on the activities of the Stripes party. Is that OK? While doing so, they find that Stripes party members met with Russian intelligence agents and diplomats. Should President Skip Willis try to get a warrant to investigate that further?

There are 2 major things broken in this country:
The Job Market: I have been out of work 6 months and actively looking for nearly 3. I can speak first hand that combined layoffs with an ever growing student pool who cannot find work it's damning. It is very common now to see the words "Entry Level" followed by need 3+ years of this or 5+ years of that for $22/hr. I lean right but I can tell you that job market report recently is complete BS. I am not speaking from just my standpoint but the thousands trying to apply for work. College Degree's and Certifications do not mean jack squat now. It's also common to see people with Bachelor or Master Degree's working at Star Bucks or a low level job that grossly underpays them due to job shortages. My sector is Tech and now that is becoming a global market. Not only Ai is taking over but Outsourcing is now ramped. Older and new tech employees like me have to try to compete with someone from India or another nation who can afford to work for $5/hr. The Medical field is just as bad with a ton of problems I can name, and even Trades people compete with immigrants or people who can afford to work much cheaper than you can. Education: Parents do not parent anymore and these damn kids do not want to learn. The United States has fallen way behind on a global scale for Education and teachers are Quitting at rapid rates. I have read and saw countless articles of teachers complaining about the Kids not respecting authority and most cannot read anywhere near their grade level. American teachers are openly complaining about High School Students who are reading at elementary levels. Mathematics has fallen even further. So the School system pushes many of these students out with a Diploma, despite the fact they cannot even read, write, or even basic math at a middle school level. Now with the DEI programs for woke Schools, they lowered the standard so some of the Qualified Students who did make it through the School system with a decent education are not granted an opportunity. These Colleges are indoctrination camps who spread the liberal propaganda and even allows Crazyness like burning American flags on Campus or Gay students who are Cheering on Palestine but do not understand they would be stoned to death over there for being gay. I won't even mention the many many useless College Diploma's like, Liberal Arts, Art History, Computer Science (it is useless now), etc. Even many of the ones who chose the right degree, worked hard and graduated, are now highly underpaid in a job that is out of their field and drowning in Student debt. Think about this: We won't allow a person to drink until they are 21 years old. We will however allow an 18 year old student become Hundreds of thousands of dollars in student debt. Do you really think an 18 year old understands the impact of that loan in their life? Cost of living: I hope it does come down under Trump but it's a long process. I do understand all the Damage the whole Biden Crime Family did to the economy and it will take time to recover. With that said, it's a perfect storm right now for people to get real desperate. Jobs are hard to get or grossly underpaying people, Housing is expensive and hard to get, The Cost of Living is extremely expensive while opportunities are getting worse. I know once things go up, they rarely ever go back down. The majority of Americans need some kind of relief. |
