Gardner Flint Minshew II - (merged threads)

For some reason he gets smaller and panics because he can’t see over the defense to make the right read. Also, his arm limits the defense to be honest on deep routes. Minshew has never aired out a 40 plus 50 plus 5 to 7 step drop to let the defense know they have to honor that option..

Defenses were starting to play short routes and the back shoulder passes
. This may work on horrible teams, but really good teams you have to be smarter and strategic and not limit yourself.

To be fair, that back shoulder to Chark was beautiful and the OPI call on it was god awful. That was the turning point in the game IMO.

The non call on the safety just grabbing Chark and stopping him a few years short of the goal line as a pass but the ground a few years past that was probably more the turning point since it essentially ended the drive and was a massive slap in the face after they had just called an offensive pass interference.

I'm pacing around the living room, dying on every play, and the camera cuts to Minshew's dad in the stands, and he looks totally bored, just kind of sprawled out staring off into space. It made me think, why am I agonizing about this stuff. His own dad isn't, so why should I?

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
