Hi Jaguars fans! Are you ready for the biggest NFL offseason event of the year?
The long wait is almost over for 256 players to start new beginnings and realize their dreams. For the first time in 51 years, Chicago is hosting the NFL Draft, which will take place at Roosevelt University's Auditorium Theatre after being moved from Radio City Music Hall in New York. To commemorate the 50th year of ending a season with the Super Bowl, the NFL made its shield and draft logos gold, among other things.
This is the schedule (all times Eastern):
Thursday, April 30
Round 1 only, 7:00-10:30*
Each team has 10 minutes to make a pick.
Friday, May 1
Rounds 2 and 3; 6:00-9:30*
Each team has 8 minutes to make a pick.
Saturday, May 2
Rounds 4-7; 11:00-6:30*
Each team has 5 minutes to make a pick.
*Draft coverage times on NFL Network. Actual times the pick clock runs are different. ESPN may have a slightly different schedule.
You can set a reminder to watch the draft on NFL Network here: http://on.nflnetwork.com/draft-scheduleu...5_calendar
Here is the complete draft order and tracker for all 7 rounds: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/tracker#dt...t-by-round
The Jaguars currently have 7 picks, all at their default position - third in rounds 1, 3, 5, and 7 and fourth in rounds 2, 4, and 6 (alternating with the Raiders). They are:
Round 1: 3
Round 2: 36
Round 3: 67
Round 4: 103
Round 5: 139
Round 6: 180
Round 7: 220
For the fifth straight year, NFL legends will announce second round picks. For Jacksonville, that man is fullback Greg Jones.
Also, one of our picks will be called in London for the first time in NFL history.
Let's all hope the Jaguars pick the right guys at the right times and the Titans, Texans, and Colts do not.
The intent of this thread is to report and discuss each pick and during-draft trade for all 32 teams. Think of it as a draft version of official game day threads.
Now let the draft parties begin! Go Jaguars!
