Hurns runs good routes and can get behind the defense but his stone hands are what holds him back. To me, Robinson' ceiling isn't that high but I hope I'm wrong
Good game by Living with a Hersnia...  ammirite????

I'm giving AR15 a pass for this game.  But I really think that Hurns is a type of guy that works harder when he's faced with failure.  I like him alot.  I'm happy for him.  I just hope he continues this progression.  I honestly don't think he has "stone hands".  I think there's something mental there that he has to get over.

To me, it looks like he's breaking through those mental hangups.  I hope I'm right...

My thinking is he's developed as an arm catcher and has been going through struggles with the team insisting he uses his hands this season. I see Hurns as a player who's been working at that and in this game finally turned a corner. Now he just needs to keep it going.

Lol
I though Hurns played well last night... He ran a great route on the sideline for a 1st down and the little slip behind the LB for the score was beautiful.

Hurns also drew a PI in the endzone that lead to the second td.

The guy is a super hard worker who doesn't take plays off.

He made Rashean Mathis look stupid on that TD.
The safety bit hard on play action.

Oh yeah!  I forgot about that play on the sideline untill you just brought it up.  It was a great effort...  But I wonder if in the regular season that catch would have been reversed.  It looked really close, but I thought one of his toes just was not in bounds as he caught it.

The lions didn't throw the review flag, so it stands.  What was nice about that catch was his concentration and his hands.

The people that doubted this man.  Lowest ceiling Hurns!
You can't measure heart. That's where Hearns has the highest ceiling on the team.
Quote:The guy is easily the most complete receiver who isn't Blackmon yet he gets overlooked it seems. It's always about Lee and Robinson but it was Hurns who scored the most TD's for us. He significantly improved every game by creating separation and using his hands more as the season went on instead of body catching. The TD's against the Bengals were flawless the way he made the adjustments to the ball.

I would also direct attention to the goal line TD play against the Texans. The play breaks down, Bortles is scrambling, Johnathan Joesph is all over Hurns and he manages to break away and catch the ball in the corner of the endzone with the ball just inches above the ground.

He's not as fast as Lee, he doesn't have the hands of AR15 but he is exceptional at route running which is such an important trait for a WR.

Thank you.

*has a seat*

Allen Hurns should get more looks from Blake Bortles that is for sure, but having Allen Robinson improve helps them both out.  Having a healthy J. Thomas in the mix will help them both out as he opposing teams will game plan against him.

AR is great for the long sideline jump up catches, while Hurns is great in open space over the middle, and Thomas is a red zone target treasure chest, & Lewis is simply a distraction.

"Allen Hurns is the youngest player to catch a TD pass in six or more consecutive games since Rob Gronkowski in 2011."

When people talk about ceilings you pretty much have to ignore it...

They just want to sound like they know what they are talking about.

Good for him

If Hurns has the lowest ceiling, this could go down as the best WR group of all time
