Quote:Yeah, well rounded is a better way to put it.
But he's still not. There is nothing Hurns does (physically) that's better than ARob. Did he have more TDs last year? Sure. But I guarantee that ARob pushes with Julius for the team lead next year.

If Blackmon comes back, Hurns will be the 4th receiver on the depth chart. So our most "well rounded" WR is 4th on the depth chart? Hmmmm

just because youre well rounded doesnt mean youre good.
Quote:He improved every game?  His first half of pro football was his pinnacle.

He's good, but no where near complete and not the most complete on the team.

If you want to talk about most complete, this won't be received well, but it was Cecil Shorts and is now ARob.

Hurns may develop into a star, he may not, but he's got quite a bit of developing to do before he's a "complete" receiver.

Edit: Please don't pull stats, i know what they are.  Sometimes you have to actually watch the game.

I think we potentially have the best WR roster in the NFL. Not by proven stats, but by what we'e seen plus potential. If Blackmon comes back, this will definitely make me say 100% we have the best WR roster in the NFL.

Green Bay has the best WR core and its not even close
If the Giants could somehow get Cooper or White, they might be unstoppable. Beckham, Cooper, with Cruz in the slot

Eli's 3-5 int's per game might throw a monkey wrench into that..

Bingo. Or the Colts with Hilton, Andre and Moncreif.

Or Lions with Calvin and Tate.
Buffalo with Watkins, Woods, and Harvin.

If Robinson and Lee both manage to get 800+ yards with one of them with 1000+ would be a success. That being said Hurns will have a role but as the 4th WR because I believe Blackmon will return and be the 3rd WR.

Last year there were 13 players that went undrafted to make the Pro Bowl.  Next year I think Hurns will be one of them

Still say its Atlanta.

Really? Where would you rate us? Lets say on complete potential in what you saw out of the WR's last year, what you know about Blackmon, and what you know about Bortles... would you say we could have realistically a top 3-4 WR core if everything works out perfect?

Absolutely not.
Quote:The guy is easily the most complete receiver who isn't Blackmon yet he gets overlooked it seems. It's always about Lee and Robinson but it was Hurns who scored the most TD's for us. He significantly improved every game by creating separation and using his hands more as the season went on instead of body catching. The TD's against the Bengals were flawless the way he made the adjustments to the ball.

I would also direct attention to the goal line TD play against the Texans. The play breaks down, Bortles is scrambling, Johnathan Joesph is all over Hurns and he manages to break away and catch the ball in the corner of the endzone with the ball just inches above the ground.

He's not as fast as Lee, he doesn't have the hands of AR15 but he is exceptional at route running which is such an important trait for a WR.

Thank you.

*has a seat*

I agree.  He wasnt drafted, or hyped up yet he had the most big plays as WR last season for the Jaguars & He played thru injuries unlike the other WR core.

On paper that looks good .. But Harvin never stays healthy.. Green Bay proven !

If every single thing works out perfectly (which is clearly won't because it never does) we would have a really good receiving core.
Man I never thought after watching this guy catch his first 2 passes for touchdowns that later on I would see this on the message board about him

I'll remind you the guy is a miami hurricane WR pedigree

Charles Rogers also caught 2 TDs in his first game I believe....

I have no problem with Hurns at all. He's just not our best WR and its not close.

stats say otherwise

Go look at the stats again my friend.

Hurns played in all 16 while Robinson played in 10.

Hurns only had 3 more catches than Robinson despite playing in 6 more games. He also only had about 100+ more receiving yards. If Robinson had played all 16, he would have blown Hurns numbers out the water.
