Who said the Seahawks want Julius Thomas? The Jaguars seem to have no competition for his services, the way his contract talks are being reported.

 

I had no idea C.J. Spiller is from Jacksonville. He went to college at Clemson. But playing for us would be a reunion with Doug Marrone.

As was discussed before the FA period started, there's at least 20 teams with cap space to burn. We can't help if they prefer to play somewhere else, for whatever reason.

Didn't take that into account that we were " linked" to all those players. That makes things better. We tried to get those guys but apparently the weakest " link" . Jag Life.

Never implied he was a once in a lifetime. But he was clearly the big fish many here wanted. Had the money. Needed a difference maker.

One NFL pundit did say that guys of his talent don't come around very often. Take that with a grain of salt, but we didn't get him or even try perhaps. Mediocrity lives. Who knows , maybe he didn't want to come here, but I find that hard believe. Money spoke. The Jags were silent.

Time to move on. Too bad. I was hoping. But used to disappointment. Hope I'm wrong. But what did we have to lose? Besides games.

Depends on the team and their needs. There's about a 6 year age gap between the two players.

We have not lost any games yet. Getting Odrick instead of Suh does not spell losses on our record. Our strongest position group last season was the defensive line. We have the #3 pick, a purrfect time to get an elite defensive lineman. All we needed was the kind of player Odrick is.

So if a team just needs a patch job while grooming a rookie, they should get Tramon Williams. That is sort of our position now, except the young cornerbacks already earned starting jobs.

 

If we were in the Byron Maxwell sweepstakes, Davon House certainly would be a good consolation prize.

why not put Gratz at FS?

The biggest piece of the puzzle is Bortles development. If he becomes the guy we are all hoping he can become then playoffs become a possibility.
