Quote:Agreed. But expectations vs. Reality?

Reality we need a perfect offseason, the free agency is looking nice but we still have to hit big in the draft and hope the young talent develops.

That's all on David, blowing up a roster to rebuild it is risky business but if it works you've got lightning in a bottle. This hard push in free agency is further proof, David and Gus know they won't survive another sub .500 season.

Man I hope Leonard falls to us.

I'm terrified of all these pass rusher because I don't know which one will be good.

All they need is 6 wins to stay

Let's be real though Eric. Out of all the guys we cut, how many of those guys are we really missing? Knighton? Cox? Landry? Lowery? Its been a rough 2 years but all of those guys are just that. Guys.

I didn't know the past mattered did you really think the team would have more wins with the talent the past two years?

Water under the bridge, we've done it 100 times the alternative was to address problem areas and upgrade those positions over time. Impossible to predict how it would've or wouldn't have worked. All we can evaluate is how this will work and any way we slice it year 3 a sub .500 season is unacceptable.

I think we stand a good chance of seeing a big turn around in year 3 but I won't be looking for excuses if we don't. We bet the house on year 3 when David decided to blow up the roster lets hope the bet pays off.

You must be new
Cmon Dave, go get Murray
Regardless of who we pick up, I don't think we go more than 6-10 or 7-9, I'll even stretch and say 8-8. There will be noticeable improvement sure, but imo we're about just 1 year away.

Posted this in the other thread too, but Murray deleted everything Cowboys related from his twitter, could be something, could be nothing
Cowboys haven't talked to him in a week....

Even if we don't sign Murray, I want playoffs.

Yeah I agree, barring a HUGE leap in Blake's play.
Is this getting closer?

Two and a half hours left.
Our competition for Murray was supposed to be Arizona, who just signed Blount.

I wouldn't count out Dallas.

Apparently I jumped the gun on Blount.

The chances DeMarco Murray stays in Dallas seem to be between slim and none. The Cowboys are not talking to him much while a few other teams make a strong push.
