Look around.... That is certainly happening this year if you look at the stands.  This team cant be making a profit.  I mean, I would be extremely surprised if it is.

 

Also, consider all the equipment and renovations (locker room, sound system, video board) that Khan has spent money on.  That will result in a TON of depreciation expense on the books, which will only add to the loss.  Perhaps that was part of the plan.

 

Add in the fact that the Jaguars are doing more renovations to club seats that would lock them in for another 30 years in Jacksonville, totally!

No, I get it.  They share revenue so (in theory) it's near impossible to show a loss. 

 

However, I think if Khan spends enough on this or that (swimming pools, ect.) that would hurt the bottom line to some extent.  How much?  Nobody knows except him and his accountant.

I would also add that we can't prevent a move if Khan indeed has future plans of moving.

And the only way to prove loss and break the lease would be to open the books, which every single owner in this league and the commissioner would be opposed to doing.

The league's books is like the holy grail. No one has seen them outside of the people employed for the NFL. That's not going to change anytime soon.

And the NFL has caved in on demands from the NFLPA just to prevent this from happening. They are NOT going to want Khan to open the books just to relocate one franchise.

Which includes the NFLPA since the players are employees of the NFL. And even still, they haven't seen the books. Think about that.

I thought Green Bay's books were public property, and therefore open every year.


 

If so, I doubt that exposing the Jags books would be a concern, especially since they would have to show a loss to make it worthwhile. The NFL is not opposed to showing how 'poor' they are.

The team has gone up in value by almost $300 mil according to Forbes since he bought it.  He isn't losing money.

There were more than 61k tickets sold for the game yesterday.  They're not losing money. 

 

No team is going to open up their books.  The NFLPA would love to see it happen, but it won't. 

 

This team isn't going anywhere.

The Packers are the exception to the rule, given how their franchise is setup. The NFL is, even the Jaguars, no means "poor". They would not want the Jaguars' books opened up.

Empty seats at one game is not going to impact the team's bottom line much.

If this city is behind a team that sucks this badly, and they still manage to sell tickets like that, imagine when this team finally turns the corner and becomes legit.. I'm pretty sure that's what Khan is seeing as well..

Ok, the attendance has been pretty bad the past two weeks.  Maybe some of the worst I've ever seen here.

I am starting to think this team leaving will actually add years to my life due to lack of stress.

 

My season tickets have basically gone to waste this year, so those are 2 empty paid for seats that you see in that image. I can't be alone on this. I just consider my season tickets a donation to the organization at this stage in the game.

 

These fans are dying for a good team support. Once the team becomes watchable, we will have one of the best fanbases in the NFL.

It's not like Forbes has more access than anybody else.  If nobody can see the books, nobody can see the books.
