Why are we debating what no one knows for sure?

All I do is hope. But trust an NFL owner and the commissioner they hired? Can't do it.

Khan suing a small sandwich shop ( Edgewood Bakery) isn't the kind of publicity he should want. But...it's nothing personal right? Just business.

Do I think the team will relocate? Not in the immediate future. To say never, is wearing a teal blindfold.

Let's just enjoy, or try to, what we have now. A home team.
Wait, this thread is still here?

Quote: The lack of people (Jaguars fans specifically) in the stands is evidence of this imo.

Seriously.  Just stop.  The stands have not been empty this season.  Not even last week.  Sure at the half people went in out of the rain.  I have never seen the inside of the east club as crowded as it was at halftime last Sunday.  And yeah, that picture at the start of the second half looked bad... but... remember when I mentioned how crowded it was inside?  I was late getting back to my seat.  As were many others.

Your beating a dead horse... well actually more like kicking a stuffed animal because this horse isn't even real.

I bet they did very well with game day sales while everyone was inside.  But seriously if the tickets are sold then that helps more than people give credit.  I can't wait to get to a better place and rejoin the ranks of the season ticket holders.  Just not there yet.
Quote:Or they won't, because the team will improve.

If you think the empty seats on Sunday are any indicator of a lack of fan support, you're one of the biggest buffoons on this board.  Clearly, you're just trolling with this thread.  Otherwise, the level of ignorance you've put on display here is staggering.

An abnormal amount of opposing fans every game coupled with the lack of fan turnout the past few weeks.  That's a pretty good indicator of how people are feeling.  That isn't trolling.  That's common damn sense.

Quote:Is it enough though?

I don't understand why people come here just to get people fired up.  Fear mongering at its finest!

do you think they aren't showing up maybe because we are 2-10 and over the past few years have been one of the most pathetic franchises ever?

You don't think he knows that a winning team puts butts in the seats and profits in general will rise?

That's obvious.  It's because we stink right now.  That's one of the points of this whole thread, if we continue to stink in the next couple seasons (VERY STRONG POSSIBILITY), that is going to take a further toll on the fan support and hurt the bottom line.  Is what it is.

Considering how many times you have been told that there hasn't been a "lack of fan turnout the past few weeks" but yet you keep claiming there has been, yeah... that's trolling.

Actually Ive been told that the attendance numbers account for "tickets sold" so those numbers aren't the actual amount of people at the game, apparently... which is my point

Dude, once the damn tickets are sold attendance does not fiscally matter. The revenue has been collected. You started this thread relating attendance to relocation. It just don't happen because of attendance issues and we don't have a bad attendance issue currently. How many times you have to be told?

I know that.... Im also looking into the future of what it means for future sales.  wow, people feel really threatened by the idea that our stadium is invaded by opposing fans every week and there are a lot of empty seats.  Look around.  What I see and what is being reported dont seem to match up.  That's all.  Sorry if you disagree.

You're clearly not going to games.

If you were, this thread wouldn't exist.  Your ignorance is reflected by your view of the games.

Sorry it bothers you so much.  Im not the only one that's noticed the attendance issue.

Quote:I was under the impression that with the TV money that teams split up, it was almost impossible for teams to lose money on their bottom line. Correct or incorrect?
CORRECT! Although it can be done, the teams would have to spend recklessly to do so...The TV revenue is enough to cover every teams salary cap for the year...

"But even at the low end, the money NFL teams get from the league’s national TV deals is greater than the salary cap amount.

In 2013, for example, the cap was $123 million. This year, it is $133 million, the first major increase under the collective-bargaining agreement signed in 2011 — but well less than the $158 million in national TV money each club will get for the coming season, sources said." http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Journal/Issues/2014/07/21/Finance/NFL-revenue.aspx

Granted this is not the entire expenditure each team spends annually, but it's the greatest expenditure they have to spend

And it's usually those who AREN'T at the stadium for home games who "noticed the attendance issue" that doesn't exist.  Good for you!

not really... considering myself an attender and others who I know are attenders and described attendance as "pathetic"

the rain no doubt had somewhat an affect, but that doesn't mean everything is going wonderful here
The fan support for the past several years has been terrific. With the weather, a not that attractve opposing team and a 2-10 record it was not really surprising this past Sunday.

The team has been awful for 3 years and people keep buying hope.

Eventually the hope will run out and the team has to win games.
