Quote:Why?  Was Corn a security threat?

It was a very bad ear!!!
Quote:Let me explain this in kitty terms. Say you have a string and the kitty keeps trying to get it and you keep pulling it away because you think it is cute and funny. The kitty is likely thinking, why won't Jdub let me catch that string? Don't she know I don't like that? Ask yourself, why do I keep pulling that string away from  my kitty, I mean I really do like her? You will then have the answer to why we will continue to call you Jdub.

This is the most perfect explanation!!

Fanny is getting a little mixed up.
Quote:OK, thought so. I will let Brandon know about it after the team returns from Houston.

And with that, this thread ends at 22 pages.

I'm fairly certain that the thread doesn't end just because you say so, Fanny.

Kind of like her not telling people to call her Jdub.  Saying something is over here only makes it go on longer.
I still have 6 strands of hair left to pull.

Cats love to chase strings. It satisfies their hunting instinct. In fact I had a male cat who tapped me on the leg to say, "Let's play chase the string." I did it to make him happy and he was. So your analogy fails.

Perhaps it would be if that was not the purpose of a string toy. Fact of the matter is my cat preferred toys that move and did absolutely nothing with a mouse sitting in front of him. When I tied my shoes, he always attacked the string I was tying even though I tried to give him my other shoelace.
Please make it stop. I'll give you my bank account number, SSN, home phone, HIPAA...ANYTHING.

You don't have to participate. Other people like it and are keeping this thread going.

Cats love to catch things. Maybe your cat is like Charlie Brown...thinks that this time will FINALLY be the time he catches that string!!

Unfortunately the cat I am talking about died three years ago (kidney failure) so now I am down to one cat who preferred mice, catnip, and foil when she was younger. The string toy scared her.

I never read or watch Peanuts, so I don't get your Charlie Brown reference. Garfield is much better.

Lucy is always teasing Charlie Brown that he'll get to kick her football but she pulls it way at the last second and never lets him do it. He's always telling himself that this time will the time he finally does it.

My dad did that with a floppy-eared dog I called Scruffy. The game ended when I finally got my hands on the toy.
