My guess is they are trying to protect his confidence and don't want him breaking Manning's INT record.

Be careful what you wish for...

Are you sure that's a cat?
If we play like this after the Bye weeks, expect major coaching changes.

The jury was out on BB5 after his fourth start. Give him a chance. He has a terrible O line and is almost always under duress. Give him till next year then we can form a better opinion, after a full off season and better chemistry within the offense. Till then give it a rest.
Quote:Yes.  That doesn't mean he's necessarily the answer, but I think we can pass on WinMar this year, and not have made a big mistake.

This is the first time I've heard WinMar... I like it. But I can't help but think "why didn't he go with MarWin?" Being close to Marvin and all... These are the things that I think about after a Jags' lost
I thought today was his best game. His decision making took a step forward.
Bortles will be fine. We need the receivers to step up and have a coaching staff that can make a game plan. I don't know how they wouldn't think blitzing romo was not a good idea ..
Quote:His footwork is bad, he's not making progressions, and still inaccurate despite staring his only target down. He may have lost a step too, he's looking sluggish and hesitant. Is he broken beyond repair?
Lost a step? Broken beyond repair? Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I thought he played alright, no forced balls. Even the interception was just an incredibly athletic play by the Cowboys defender. I think Bortles has to continue to work on his footwork and watch his film and continue to get better.

Really? He stares down receivers.....
The o-line was very bad today

these threads....

So does every qb in the nfl. They all do it so lets stop acting like he's the exception to the rule.

Completely agreed. Footwork is an issue. Hopefully it's a focus this offseason.

That INT was one that every QB in the league throws from time to time. His decision making was clearly better despite the line regressing a bit today and Marinelli running a ton of blitz packages at him.

hahahah do they? if you actually believe this... wow.

They all do at times? Stop acting like no one else does this because you watch enough football in your life to be truthful with yourself.

Sometimes. What's your point?

Manning? Brees? Rodgers?

They do it very minimally where as blake does it on every play... He doesn't make reads.

a lot of these are the same people clamoring for bortles to start week 1 instead of henne when a lot of us were saying he needs time to work on his footwork and learn the offense.

now you see what happens when a rookie steps in. he just needs time. hes a rookie with an offense full of guys who are rookies.......... how does no one get that?
