Quote:Thanks TMD

Did you have to go there?
Quote:They also went 2-14 last year.

I am figuring in talent. I think Bradley with the Texans roster is still likely 1-6. If he's lucky, maybe 2-5. Bradley's track record isn't just his record but the point differential has been a league worst for 2 years running, now. Worst offense in football.

Yeah?  And 9 of those were by a TD or less.  So O'Brien should be able to get 11-5 or 10-6 at the very least.
Quote:And all Mallett is good for is highlights of him trying to murder the starter so he can get on the field.

At least he's trying to get on the field. Bortles never even tried to assault Henne for playing time.

As a rookie head coach?, with that QB situation? I'd say 8-8 would be an impressive season and 9-7 would be a fantastic job.
Quote:Would it surprise you if that other poster was also TMD?

It would surprise the hell out of me.

QB situation?

The one you thought was fixed when they got Mallett?

But they have Mallet.

Yes.

Rookie head coach Dom Capers took the expansion team Carolina Panthers led by rookie QB  Kerry Collins to a 7-9 record.  Given Capers own record in Houston, I wouldn't say that's a great coach.
So B.O.B. is supposed to be a qb guru. the only real weakness on the texans is the qb...... the roster is otherwise loaded and we are supposed to be applausing a guy who has his team at 3-4 in a weak division?

we are basing how good of a coach he is based on his post-loss tantrum in front of the media?

this all makes sense. at least he made up a thread where it is appropriate to discuss this instead of bringing it up in every thread that has nothing to do with bradley.

dont forget how TMD talked about the amazing things that B.O.B can do with QBs....
Quote:I think BOB's display of anger (and subsequent [BAD WORD REMOVED] whooping in practices all week) will indeed have a positive effect in the results of next week game for the Texans, as well as have a psychological benefit long term in the minds of his team that losing is not acceptable/ won't be tolerated.

See, this is what I'm talking about, WE CAN'T HAVE YOU MAKING THESE EGREGIOUS MISTAKES ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD, i CLEARLY ASKED TWO QUESTIONS, YOU ONLY ANSWERED ONE THAT'S DROPPING THE BALL( wait while I pound on my laptop), I CLEARLY STATED YES OR NO AND YOU FUMBLED THAT AS WELL.(pounding my laptop harder this time.)  WE SIMPLY CANT HAVE THESE MISTAKES WHILE POSTING. CANT TOLERATE IT. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO WIN MESSAGE BOARDING. IF WE CAN FIX THESE THINGS WE CAN WIN, I SWEAR.

Hopefully my anger filled rant will improve your message boarding. I want to see a new level of troll from you. Your old stuff is stale...boring if you will.
TMD has been propping up the Texans/O'Brien combo since the hire was made. So it shouldn't surprise me he made a thread trying to turn the Texans losing the way they did into something positive.
Quote:Generally the home team does better in the NFL, (hence the likelyhood of the Texans giving up less than the 30 they gave up on the road vs Pitt in the hypothetical of playing the Steelers at Reliant), but ignore that fact.
Generally yes, but not every time ,right? I mean were talking what if, right?

Once they play him, it will at least be a better option than Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick = Henne

Quote:They were supposed to start Mallett immediately w/o knowing the system?

Lol, come on....numerous quarterbacks that have experience are able to jump right in.  They didn't trade for Mallett to start over Fitzpatrick this year...we are 7 games in and Fitz is 3-4, why no Mallett?

It's called a schtick.

Probably similar reasons to why coaches seem to like Henne so much.

Liking O Brien and thinking he was a good head coach choice is called a schtick?

Interesting.
If Mallet plays this season it should be playoffs or bust because he's just that good.

thats it? just a least better than fitz? the guy that you declared a franchise qb and said would fetch a second rounder?

thats all the confidence you have in him?
