I have not been this excited about this team since 2002!  This is one of the happiest days of my football fan life, ranking in the same level as when it was announced that Jacksonville had been awarded the team.  This is great!

And they're off and running to defend their title off offseason champions and plenty are falling for it that quickly. They'll kill free agency and the draft once again and then September will come. But enjoy your annual feel good months of January thru August.

That's obvious to me. Everyone knows they're in no position to speak about any other players so the safe response is to say Blake is our QB and they keep everything internal so they're not going to inform anyone of their intent.

one thing that was clear to me.

 

the stark contrast between Tom Coughlin... old, confident, sure of himself... and Dave Caldwell.  Young, inexperienced, nervous-looking/sounding.

 

with TC on board, it gives this franchise legitimacy.

 

Caldwell has been running this franchise for over 4 years and still looked like an intern next to Coughlin.

Just watched the whole news conference.  You know, I was glad TC wasn't named our HC not so much because I didn't think he could do it but more because I was worrying about him sullying his reputation.  But when you listen to him, you just have to get on board.  I think this is a good staff and together this group is going to get this team turned around.  Kudos and I'm already getting excited for next year.
