Marrone feels our pain and he understands that its tough to watch.
He is here to change that and build a winner.
So far the talking points are good.
"I've been here two years... I feel the pain.... the people of Jacksonville deserve a winner.... we will put the right people in place to get that done. That's why I'm here."
- Marrone ^
I really want to believe that Doug Marrone is Bill Parcells-lite.
Quote:Marrone confirms Tony Khan was part of interviewing process. Not surprised
Marrone apparently is high on analytics, so no surprise there's a mutual admiration between the two.
Caldwell:
Interview process was very thorough. We went through a lot of qualified candidates.
I think we have the right people in place to bring this city back to relevance and where we'd like to be as a franchise.

Doug comes from that Bill Parcells coaching tree, the same tree that produced Bill Belichick, Tom Couglin, Sean Payton, and a host of other great coaches. Jags fans should be THRILLED with this hire.

<p class="">"We have not defined any roles for our [assistant] coaches right now." --Jaguars HC Doug Marrone
I dont think that was a ringing endorsement of Bortles from Tom. Very short answer.
Is it just me or Doug's answer about defense and staff implied that he's looking to bring in also different coordinators?
He said "we let some people go, we have some people on board but we are looking at bringing in the best possible people and minds to have success."
