Quote:It also seemed this team got too conservitive. Please explain. They were throwing the ball for the entire second half. Conservative would be plowing into the line for a 1 yard game. That's not what happened here.

Quote:I dont see the point of sitting Bortles, we are a young team, let the young players grow together
Raiders are an old team and are going with a Rookie QB, why are we going with a Vet with a young team, it makes no sense

No Cyprian and Chad Henne, that is all.

That exactly what happened after we were up 17-0. We didn't go back to the deep ball till it was 17-14 which was already to late Eagles had momentum on there side

Clearly we ran out of gas due to the black uniforms.

They got gassed from six 3 and outs in a row

Quote:It's a combination of things. You've got a young team that needs to learn how to put games away. You've got a defense that got gassed against the fast paced Eagles offense. You've got young players making mistakes. The list goes on.
Really, the main thing is we have Henne. 3 time outs because he couldn't get the ball snapped in time for a veteran qb? That's unacceptable.

The problem is we are starting a QB that was beaten out by Blaine Gabbert during his time here.
Henne sucks, it's unbelievable he's starting.

Just hard to stomach. We can call our 17-0 run in the 1st half
an offensive explosion, only to be rewarded by an implosion twice the intensity

POZ and Cyp where out on Sproles easy run up the middle. Cyp was out when Maclin was wide open. Get rid of Pros!!

Not that Henne played a great game or anything, but I'm pretty sure one of those timeouts is on McClendon. Henne looked like he was having a seizure back there trying to get the ball, and then finally settled for a timeout. McClendon then proceeded to hike the ball as Henne was walking off the field.

Anyone who watched the first half objectively knew this was coming. The interior of the o-line was horrific all day. Gerhart is so slow it is as if he is running in slow motion. The defense played well, but got gassed because that is what Kelly's offense does to a team unless the offense can give them a break which they didn't. This will be a long year unless that o-line gets fixed.

Yes true, one was on McClendon, but two were not.

It's stupid to say this team "has a history" of this or that. This team is different from last year's team.
What is hard to take is blowing a 17 point lead and give up 33 in a half. Chad Henne is exactly what the entire world has known, i.e. on a good day he is merely average. On a bad day he is terrible.

Henne played fair considering the O Line were run over. That line was horrible.
Then we were clearly out coached 2nd half. The Sporles long run when going on 4th and one was just bad..THATs when you call a time out. It went downhill from there.
17-0 lead at half, just to end up getting shellacked?
Same Jag ball so far.
That one hurt after the first half high fives turned to trips to the toilet.

Bortles showed a ton of promise in the preseason, and we can all be excited about that. But some of you guys have some unrealistic expectations of what he's gonna do whenever it is that he starts.

Yep. His first half and 2nd half is indicative of who he is. Until Bortles is in I don't feel like we have much of a chance on sundays. I'm not going to crucify the organization if they don't play bortles, but most can see the better QB is sitting on the bench.
