Quote:Someday I want to count the starter changes on both sides of the ball. How does the line look now - Alualu Marks Miller Bryant?
Did you see a single preseason game?
Clemons, Miller, Marks, Bryant

As viewed from the offensive side of the ball...

Half of Game 4, when the starters did not play much. I did not know everybody's number yet.

Haven't you heard? The NFL outlawed the use of names and numbers on all jerseys.

Liar, liar, pants on fire. That is not funny at all.

You're right. They haven't outlawed names. Only last names. Every player has their first name on their jersey this year. The NFL felt it would make the game more personal.
You don't win football games with your best quarterback sitting on the bench!
Quote:You don't win football games with your best quarterback sitting on the bench!
You don't win football games with a rookie who is not quite ready to play behind a line that's definitely not ready to protect him.
if we score more points, i think we have a good chance of winning.
Find a way to control the line and run Gerhart 25+ times. That will be the trend until the Bortles era starts! Go Jags..
The Eagles score a lot on anyone. Only chance is chad playing real well to keep us in the game. No chance that will happen. The running game is going to suck unless the center situation gets resolved.
31-14 eagles imo

What happens when a reporter asks a player to be Frank?
Quote:if we score more points, i think we have a good chance of winning.
Dierdorf actually said that in a broadcast years ago. "The team that wins tonight's game is the team that scores the most points."
Now, we all know he
meant to say that he expected a shootout... but it's still funny.
Quote:What happens when a reporter asks a player to be Frank?
The player says, "Surely, you can't be serious."
Then the reporter says......
Quote:You don't win football games with a rookie who is not quite ready to play behind a line that's definitely not ready to protect him.
You don't win games with Henne as your QB. Period. The line is an issue, but they looked less so when BB was back there. Dude threw three bad passes all preseason. Henne threw more than that in his last start.

Then the reporter says......
"Who you calling Shirley?"
Quote:You don't win games with Henne as your QB. Period.
Cmon now. We all know Henne's not very good. But, wasn't he behind Center while the Jags won 4 out of 5 games last year? You mean, they really didn't win those?
The biggest key to beating the Eagles is exploiting their bad defense as much as they're going exploit ours.
The Jags have so many receivers capable of starting it shouldn't be hard to create mismatches in a weak Eagles secondary
At the same time, if the defense doesn't keep up, all bets are off, but there's a better chance of the defense doingtheir job than the offense, as long as Henne is under center.
Quote:Chad Henne hit by bus between now and kickoff... non-life threatening but season ending injuries
He just needs to miss the flight, stub his toe on gameday, someone change all his clocks so he is late and misses a team meeting
Or he could surprise everyone and man up and admit Bortles is already better than him and chose to sit on the bench ... we can all dream

Reminds me of Joe Theismann: "You have to score to put points on the board." LOL
