Quote:Wait, you actually believe that there aren't NFL fans that indeed abide by their own superstitions?? THAT is literally insane. Are you new to earth?

No, he didn't say you didn't believe it.  He said believing it is insane.

It's pretty insane.

Correct.

No, he implied/ acted like there wasn't a sect of NFL fans that had superstitions like that and various others. When the fact is NFL fans (or sports fans in general) that carry some sort of superstitious nature are numerous.

The commercial(s) wouldn't exist if my claim wasn't true.
Jags Add Peyton Thompson CB To PS

Wow.....so they really aren't going to take a shot at Stephen Hill, even on the PS...smh

Thompson represents the last available spot, IIRC.

OMG!!!! I guess they're not serious about winning.
Quote:Brandon Linder, G, Miami, Drafted 3rd round 2014

Luke Bowanko C, Virginia, Drafted 6th round 2014.
Yes, I acknowledged these picks in a later post. Which really just adds to my point. Linder is a late 3rd round pick that was a reach, Bowanko a 6th rounder, is the about the whole of revamping the line with the draft. If you look at the entire line and the backups, it's full of street free agents or low round draft choices. The exception Joeckel and even he is a question mark. Get rid of Monroe, bring in Pasztor and Mcclendon and Bowanko and Linder.

I am not saying waste a 1st or 2nd on center or guard, but it always feels like we are sitting at the $5 table at the casino, drafting and trading 6th rounders to fill in every spot on the OL, with the exception of LT.

We are never at the big boy table, putting together trades for pro bowl players on the line, and we wont waste a high draft pick on anything but QB,LT,or CB. I don't see one player on this offensive line from starters or backups having any post season honors, or even solidifying a position for the next couple of years. Was Boselli our last pro bowl lineman?

So where does that leave a Running game? A lot of rookies and street FA, with one proven blocking Tight end.

When the defenses start studying film on these late rounders and switching up techniques and gaps, these guys are going to get exposed, and once again we should see defenses crowding the line knowing Henne won't(or cant) go deep and our line wont get any push for Toby or seal the edge for Robinson.

I fear the offense is going to feel like groundhog day, fewer points, despite the new weapons at WR and RB.

Think they have one more spot but I'm hearing that's for Jensen the TE
While I agree Hill has the upside clearly not many people see to think he can turn it around. I think someone will give him a shot sooner or later.

The commercial is mocking them (you?).  People like that exist, and are a bit of a joke.  Nobody sane believes wearing a rally cap affects anything.  Or that the number you wear is going to jinx you...

LOL some PLAYERS actually believe it (let alone fans) . Players have changed numbers before to try and help their mojo.

Carolina is working him out.

I'm sure they do, but it's still mocking them.  I don't think you're supposed to watch that and think "man, those guys are cool, and are totally determining the outcome of the games!"

Of course, you were arguing that his number is going to affect his play.  Not sure what to really say about that, but it's a tad crazy to argue in favor of that sort of thing.

It happens. They really need the help too.

Wait... Who is losing here?
Quote:You snooze, you lose

It's a better situation for him than here.  He'd have an uphill climb getting past Robinson, Lee, Hurns and Shorts.  I'd be surprised if he would choose a situation like Jacksonville over one like Carolina.
Here's a question for anyone.

Based on the players that were with the Jaguars for all or part of the summer,  have Practice Squad eligibility,  and went unclaimed on waivers,   are there any players that you thought the Jaguars would sign to their P.S. but haven't?

I made a pretty lengthy list in the AR15 thread of Jags WR that have worn the teen numbers that have either been disappointing on the field, been an injury case, or had off field issues.

As a matter of fact the list of Jags WR that have been a success with the teen numbers has been a perfect 0.

So, while -no- the number does not "guarantee" anything, but I surely wouldn't [BAD WORD REMOVED] into the wind, either.
