Quote:Isn't Allen 35 this year?
And hasn't made the sack list below. Presumably he also played more in the 2nd and 3rd games.

Quote:They also blocked for Moreno, who did pretty well.
I've watched every game... I'm not ready to throw Joeckel and Beadles out just yet.
I think as the season progresses we'll have a better idea of where our Oline guys are. But to say right now that Beadles sucks or Joeckel is a bust is premature.
All you roof jumpers need to simmer down. It seems like every year it is the same thing. Gotta complain about something or everything. Get over yourselves. This team has had a lot of holes filled in the two off seasons this GM has had. And you can't expect him to fix everything so quickly. We got WRs, we got our QB of the future... we have SOME long term fixtures on the line...
We got young RBs and young D players that could be core players for years to come.
And you guys wanna complain about Beadles being a waste or Luke causing concern. Shaddap!
Should we go get Incognito to fix the line?
Every year? The person you're responding to comes up with new things to whine and complain about every minute of every day just so he's got enough stuff to throw at the wall hoping something will stick so he can run around years from now telling everyone how right he was. Just don't pay attention to all the crap that didn't stick.

I think Monroe looked much better early on. Never got put on his keister like I've seen happen to Luke. Then again, it's still wayyyyyy to early to draw conclusions, especially considering the ankle injury.

Incognito would probably be a significant upgrade at this point. Haha

Yep, but last I checked he's being courted by the Buccaneers.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Jags are one of the other teams inquiring about Incognito.

I'm not concerned about Joeckel being beat a couple times this Preseason for a couple reasons... 1. I chalk it up to him not quite being in mid-season form. 2. The OL as a whole is in disarray with no Center to speak of and now with Pasztor out.

I have no concerns whatsoever about Joeckle. IMO, Friday nights game was the best he's looked as a Jaguar. He had a mental error (very correctable) where he and Beadles obviously did not communicate because Joeckle didn't block anybody, a partial sack given up, and a couple of sloppy exchanges with Beadles on dline stunts. I say partial because Lewis/Gerhart were also beat by the DE on the other side which prevented Henne from having anywhere to step up. I feel like Joeckle had enough leverage to run the DE past Henne but both sides were beat so Henne had nowhere to go.
He looked strong in the run game which was good to see. The blown assignment is obviously not good, you can't have those types of mistakes but still it is correctable. Also the sloppy exchanges with Beadles will improve with time.
If your expecting Joeckle to be flawless in every game then your going to be disappointed because its just not gonna happen. He's playing well and getting better rapidly.
Don't worry about Luke, he's fine folks. We can collectively worry about the Center position though.

It has to be hard getting used to the nuances of different guys making line calls/snapping the ball etc.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought Joeckel played well against Tampa and Chicago

I think I remember TMD blasting him as a bust lol
Luke is basically in his rookie year still, with more information in his head.

You thought wrong. (normal occurrence).
Monroe was a TMD player. I don't think I ever ripped him.....certainly not in his first year.

There were more than a few for sure that ripped Monroe for not being that good though.

Perfect storm here, lost him last year when he was adjusting to the NFL, knocking the rust off after his return and has made a difficult switch to LT. He will take a little time, but I have not lost faith. I do think, however, that the Chiefs are kicking themselves for Fisher and if I were them, I would be slightly concerned. We got the better player.
