Quote:Doesn't this guy just seem different than those though? Not sure why but it seems as if the Hughes'/Sharons/Hanktons of the past just kinda felt like they knew they were cinderella and playing over their heads.
Hurns doesn't give me that vibe. That's nothing more than a gut feeling, but it's a pretty strong one.
This is how I feel. He just seems the part. As with those others, something just felt off about the whole scenario.
Quote:Hughes/Sharon/Hankton flashed. He's been far more consistent in making plays. He looks like a veteran out there right now, but we'll see if that continues with the regular season. I suspect he'll have some setbacks, but that in the end, he'll continue to be the most consistent rookie we've seen here in a long while.
I don't ever remember any member of that group ever having the kind of game Hurns did against starters though.
Yeah, he does feel a little different.

Thats a good point.

It was like they were waiting for the other shoe to drop, or in Hughes' case to try and catch a pass with his facemask.
Hurns doesn't seem like he's trying all that hard to "play well". It just seems like he goes out and
does play well.

Exactly. We've seen the camp stars way too many times.

Agreed. We haven't seen him flash. He's just been consistently effective. That bodes well.

I still feel bad for that kid, crying in the locker room knowing the inevitable was coming.

I think he's going to be rewarded.
Hurns looks like the real deal. I hope he carries this over to the regular season.

Yup, he's always been "on." First string, second string, no matter what.
Still has to show it in the regular season, but his chances are better than most who have been in the same position.

does he stick his tounge out a lot?
I'm just impressed an UDFA rookie has gotten 16 pages, soft golf clap, very respectable
Hurricane Hurns can make TDs with a tweaked ankle.
Its not that far fetched he could break TD receiving record with Bortles in now
It's apparent the team actually tried when he came in there. Shows how they really feel about Henne.
Dude Hurns is a beast. May have to start him in fantasy next week. I expect Lee's production to go way up as well.
Hurns hasn't looked great the past two games, but nobody else has either.
That said, I think Hurns looks better, hungrier, and more promising than any other WR on this roster so far. I say play the kid. Let him sink or swim. I think he'll swim just fine.
Jimmy did.
He looks like a completely different guy than he did on his college YouTube highlights - which is good for us.
That being said, he had a few easy drops the last two weeks. I hope he cleans that up.
