Not sure if you'r thinking I said he was just a guy or not, but if you did it should be noted that I said "Gus Bradley type of guy." I'm well aware of JB's overflowing talent
Normally the law of percentages will say that a few of the draft picks from this year won't pan out.  I would say that one of the WR's probably won't be on the team after a couple of seasons.  If Hurns can be a diamond in the rough player and stick, then that would be a good thing if one of the draft picks doesn't pan out.  Hopefully they all do.  That would be a good problem to have.

Has he ever dropped a pass?

Any doubt he doesn't make the team?  Seems like a lock at this point.

He is outplaying all other WR's at this point. Granted we're missing a rookie and our main starter but he is seizing the moment bigtime.

I'd have him 2nd on the depth chart TBH.

Guaranteed
Kerry Taylor is going to be ousted by Hurns.

Good speed..nice hands  and from the UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU How could it be better??????

He and Brown are battling for that 4th spot. Do we even want ace sanders back?

I don't think Hurns is battling for the 4th spot... I think he's a day 1 starter right now. That dude catches the ball then makes his move. I haven't seen anyone run as clean of a route since #87 & #82 were shredding defenses in the. I believe Hurns will beat out CSIII by mid season and finish the season leading the Jaguars in Yards and Receptions.

I was with you until here.
I hope he breaks our streak of receivers that look like steals in the preseason only to completely disappear once the regular season starts.

Agreed.  We've been teased in the past by guys who looked like world beaters in the preseason.  Somehow I think he actually does break that mold.
Makes trading Cecil Shorts an easier pill to swallow.
I think Hurns is a little different than Kevin Elliot, Charles Sharon, Chad Owens, Cortez Hankton, and Nate Hughes (just speaking on these five because I can't name any other training camp wonders) because he played in a top conference, led his team in yards, and torched the eventual National Champs. The aforementioned played at FAMU, Bowling Green, Hawaii, Texas Southern, and Alcorn State. Maybe I'm just justifying and trying to trick myself into thinking Hurns will break the curse but he sure looks legit

I think he does too. Charles Sharon, John Broussard, Nate Hughes, and the others were mainly going against 2nd and 3rd teams, while Hurns has essentially been the #1 WR on the first team offense this preseason.
At absolute worst he's the #5 WR on this team. And its not like we're bypassing other WR talent to hold onto him. I too think he's going to break the mold of the Charles Sharon, Chad Owens, Cortez Hankton, and Nate Hughes type WRs.
He doesn't have anything elite about him physically, but he appears to just get open all the time. I hope he continues, he's been a pleasant surprise.

IMO he's already earned the fourth spot.  The rookies, Shorts, then Hurns.  Ace will be in the mix when he returns.

Brown's value is his versatility as he can play any role (either side and also inside) as backup.  So, he's probably the last guy.

Blackmon who?
