Quote:I remember ace took one to the house during one game but got called back on a penalty, I think on Thursday night football. It'll be interesting to see who wins the punt return job

That was the Rams game in Week 5.
"5-foot-7 players who don't make guys miss don't have a ton of value."  - Some journalist.

See how that says some journalist? It's just an opinion. Sports journalism should just be sports editorials. Nothing but opinions all day.  People keep reporting this crap as fact.

Ummmm.. I don't think anyone has reported this crap as fact.. I think the majority of the posters in this thread saw that it was garbage from post #1
I would figure Shorts III would get traded before they give up on Sanders. And that's only because of his concussions. The whole value while you can get it thing...

Seems unlikely

TMD, quote function doesn't work correctly on my windows phone but doss has had 3 seasons in the league. On the ravens who don't have a lot of depth at WR outside of Torrey smith, tandon doss did absolutely nothing. He got released after they won the bowl, them had a try out with green bay (whom are pretty good at developing receivers if I remember correctly: Driver, Jennings, Cobb, nelson, even Boykin) and they didn't even offer him a deal. Sullivan isn't going to turn water into wine.

"Per Rotoworld"?

lol

I don't know, but to me 'could be on the bubble' is a long way from could be cut. That seems like a pretty big leap.

That's just me though.

We probably have a lot of people on the bubble to be honest. It's been quite an off-season.

Besides the draft picks and "big money" signings from this offseason (Gerhart, Bryant, Beadles, Hood), who is not on the bubble? Meaning they are essentially guaranteed a roster spot.

Joeckel, Marks, Cyprien and Gratz?

O'Halloran's report is really based on nothing but his own personal hunch.

I know, but his hunch is stupid.

Sure, our second best WR from last year is on the bubble. Especially when WRs improve significantly in year 2 and 3.

And none of the above guarantees you that "Doss is never going to be a legit WR in the NFL". Your quote.

The fact that GB indeed has Driver, Jennings, Cobb, Nelson, even Boykin....is pretty much a decent factor right there why they didn't Doss more time.

That was also before Doss had his 100 yard game in his spot start this past season, too.

Point is, you do not know what Sullivan will or will not be able to do here with Doss. You're assuming  that he'll flop, and IMO, it seems like you want him to flop, as well.

I do like how every new regurgitator (PFT, Rotoworld) has a "Ace Sanders on the bubble?" story.

This made me laugh

Those sites are football/ sports news outlets. Why wouldn't they all be passing along a report from one of the local writers? Oh, because thunderbuns, some poster on the message board don't agree with it....?? Laughing

That doesn't surprise me.

It's not a report. A report would be based on something that has happened or is going to happen. This is all O'Halloran's opinion. Nothing more. And Pro Football Talk is hardly a news outlet. It is what is known as a news aggregator. They have very little original content. The entire site is based on links to other people's writings.

tomato/ tomahto

Its still a site, along with rotoworld where many people go to get NFL news. Rotoworld just tends to cater to the fantasy football angle.

Not sure why you seem so uppity about the who thing anyway. Does talk of even the possibility of Sanders being on the bubble really upset you that much?
I don't see Sanders on the bubble at all.
