Then you don't know anything because Jim Tressel was not even fired. He was encouraged to quit and did.
The "big deal" involved Pryor and five other players who got tattoos for autographs. That is why OSU could not play in the BTCG or NCG last year.

All of the talk about NIU being undefeated made me think BGSU has no chance because it seems like nobody ever talks about that school.

Honestly what is the difference? "Encouraged to quit" is basically the same thing as being fired.

Can we just worry about the current Buckeyes? I am not here to talk about why they were ineligible last year.
But to answer your question, if there was no difference, I doubt they would use the phrase "encouraged to quit."

Thank goodness No. Illinois lost. They would just be taking a bcs bowl spot of an actual deserving team like they did last year.

I don't remember NIU going to a bowl game another team should have played in last year.
Because two teams in BCS conferences are still undefeated (at least until about 11:30 p.m., when their games are over), I never worried about the fate of NIU.

Quote:alot of you seem to have the critic hat on when looking at the SEC, but then fail to mention your own conference which consists of 1-2 good teams. the SEC has 5-6 solid to really good teams every year.. I see the sec having only a few good teams this year. Bama, auburn, Missouri. Everyone else is average at best. Doesn't seem like the strongest conference anymore. But I understand, when your team you pull for is losing you need something to fall back on, like how "great" your conference is. Typical.
the argument isn't that the SEC will go unbeaten against all other conferences every time, but its plainly obvious that it is the best conference

then fail to mention which conference is better and why
I'd say LSU is a good team, no? A&M is better than anybody here wants to admit. Georgia is a decent team riddled with injuries. South Carolina is pretty good. I dont think you are seeing the whole picture.
i mean, if those teams are average. I'd like i see you evaluate another conference. this proves my point; you guys are all about tearing apart the SEC. if you think you are so unbiased, then being some unbiased facts to the table

I agree with this. They aren't as dominate but no conference is deeper with solid teams this year. The middle of the pack (LSU, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Georgia) are much better than the middle of the pack for other conferences.

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have bad games too. Especially at 21 years old.

LSU is average this year. Texas A&M is decent. You have to have somewhat of a resemblance of a defense to be considered good. Georgia is average. I'll agree with you on South Carolina.

I think LSU is better than A&M. LSU with Mettenberger was doing well. He is hurt now so idk what will happen there. They have two amazing receivers and always a good running game.
