As a Jaguars fan, I want Tebow. When he was with the Broncos, that garbage offense and those garbage receivers messed up his stats. Broncos with a new OC, and Wes Welker STILL have the highest number of dropped passes in the NFL. 10%.

He might not have the best looking form but as long as it gets there, a competent WR is there to catch it, and he isn't throwing an interception, I'm cool.

in other words you're okay with Tebow as long as he plays nothing like Tebow normally does?

Most of Tebow's work was with a garbage OC. And through 15 starts has comparable stats to Rom Brady Eli, and so forth. The last game he started was a playoff games. Has won more games as a starter than the Jaguars in three years. If Tebow was a fluke, let him play himself out of the NFL. The problem is, everyone labels him a fluke without proving himself as a flute. His history as a QB shows otherwise.
I saw many ugly games out of Elway until the Broncos got Terrell Davis. The Broncos wanted to suck for Luck and Tebow foiled their plans. Elway couldn't wait to get rid of him because he reminded him of a younger version of himself. Since couldn't get Luck, he got Peyton Manning. With the money he used on him, he could have fixed their Defense and gotten a new receiving corps. Tebow problem was he was used to playing with good receivers. So he could throw the ball so only the receiver could catch it: Hernandez, Harvin. You can't do that with garbage receivers. Garbage receivers is the reason why Marino never won the Super Bowl.

Rom Brady, is that like Tom's cousin?

And yeah, he's pretty comparable to Eli, who leads the league in INT's right now.

And no, his OC wasn't garbage.  He was the only OC that could make Tebow look passable, and even that wasn't enough.  Blaine Gabbert would have as many wins with the Broncos as Tebow did -- maybe even more.  Hell, Gabbert won a few games with the Jags during his first year.

That is a story you can keep telling yourself.  And Peyton seems to be doing well with those 'Garbage Recievers'.  Tebow's problem wasn't that he was used to playing with good receivers, It was his lack of accuracy.  The Jags could have hired him to shoot t-shirts out of a canon, but they were worried he'd hit cars in the parking lot.

Well....  Once Poz changed his coiffure, Caldwell immediately set out to fill the void.  It's the perfect example of his true GM brilliance  - that he was able to fulfill the Samson cut quota and upgrade the QB position in one fell swoop. Brilliant, I say.
What ever happened to Robinson
More votes for gabbert BWHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

No on Tebow the fans alone that come with him pissed Denver and Jet fans off. Henne gets my vote for now cause he can atleast get the ball to the recievers but thst first pick in the draft is what we really want.

I had trouble voting for henne cause of stanzi.... If it was between gabbert and henne only I'm sure henne would be winning.
I refuse to vote for a guy who has yet to play a snap at qb for the Jags. Least Robinson fumbled once.

I just have to say that the bolded portion is just not true.  Elway may not have won a superbowl untill Terrel Davis came along, but Elway was a winner before with RB's like Sammy Sewel.  Remember he made it to superbowls before he won back to backs...   I think he made it to 2 or 3 in the 80's and early 90's before winning the 2.

Also, Elway's game is completely different than andrew lucks, especially when Elway was in his prime.  Elways arm is much stronger.  Elway was much lighter and when he scrambled he ran with finesse, he was quicker on his feet than Luck looks to be.  Luck is heavier, thicker even, and runs more with power.  Also, Luck doesn't seem to have the creativity that Elway had.  When Elway left the pocket he was always looking down the field for big plays, often times throwing clear across the field from one sideline to the next.  The dude had a rocket arm.  Seriously, I think he could get more velocity on his throws than even Marino.  Marino had a strong arm, his release was much quicker.  Elway was just pure heat.  I don't see that in Luck.  Luck has a good arm, but it's nothing compared to what Elway could do.

Sorry, this isn't meant to hijack the thread...  Back on topic...

T-no is still not good.

I feel like not playing a snap at QB this year for the jags is a good thing, not a bad thing.

If the OC wasn't garbage, why was he replaced? Pistol kinda worked for Tebow but it didn't play to his strengths. If they were going to play to his strengths, they would've ran the Spread out of Shotgun formation.

Denver still leads the league in dropped passes.

Garbage receivers.

In many cases the pattern of play calling when Tebow was in Denver was always run, run, pass. When you can watch a game and know what the other team is going to do, it is harder to do it.

Didn't he leave to go coach the Chargers? Yes, yes he did.

They played to Tebow's strengths in New York, he's at his best sitting on the bench.

Tebow doesn't have the accuracy to throw the javelin. He'd kill someone in the 5th row.
Quote:Stanzi, because Gabbert sucks, Henne sucks slightly less (which isnt saying much) but still sucks.

How do we know that Stanzi doesnt suck too, I for one would at least like to see him have the opportunity.  I agree that Chad Henne's performance has surpassed Blaine Gabberts over the season & from last year but both are below average in the NFL leage as starting QBs.  Please remember that Miami did not want Chad Henne that has to draw attention considering how bad they are at QB at that time.

Blaine Gabbert has used every excuse & hey I too was hoping his excuses were valid for as a Jaguars fan I wanted him to succeed but at what point do we realize that this team really needs a good QB?

I understand why fans have a negative view of Tim Tebow at QB, but honestly why not give the man a try when currently he has to be better than the other three options.
Quote:Then vote Blaine, to guarantee us Teddy.
Thats funny because thats exactly what I did! We want the loser! We want the loser....Lol Vote Teddy Bridgewater for "Field General". Woo-Hoo....
