My problem with the ACA is not the law itself, but loopholes in it. Mom was forced to change insurance plans because of a major retirement system restructure (not going into the details about that). Unfortunately the ACA lacks the protection she needed to assure I can keep taking the same meds at affordable prices. The mail order drug company told Mom these exact words: ". . . fell into the doughnut hole." The ACA replacement needs a section that closes that doughnut hole.

Yes, I'm not sure what PreX she's worried about, disability covers most everything and CMS isn't discussing that coverage at all. But she is pretty ummm...narrow minded? So who knows.

So your mom was actually a victim of the ACA, just like about 100 million other Americans?

No she isn't. I said the ACA failed to address a problem that preceded it. The ACA itself has nothing to do with my personal situation.

I am very rushed to plan and get ready for a 13-day Italy vacation. I can read all about Trump's health care plan next month.

If the ACA failed to address a problem then logically your mom is a victim of the law. Because it failed to address the problem.

A victim of the law is someone who lost tons of money because of what was written in the law, not what is missing. Nothing else is logical.

Also, I have already said many times why a repeal/replace would be terrible, so nobody has any reason to tell me I should want that.

Seriously? How is anyone supposed to take you serious when you say stuff like this? Your destitute but are going on a 13 day vacation to italy. Something doesnt add up there.

I had no control over travel dates or how we are traveling, but she let me plan most cities without any negotiations.
