Regardless of the truths and lies that have been spewed from both sides, I sincerely hope that people understand that it's not ok to be hateful, racist, and disrespectful to one another - regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, and beliefs. We all know that actions speak louder than words, and I hope that an extreme minority of individuals do not perceive his election as a clearance for hate crimes. I highly doubt it, but I do think about it.

 

As an independent, I give Trump the utmost respect with the result that his campaign has yielded - despite the constant uphill battle that he faced. I am going to maintain an optimistic mindset, in the hopes that our beautiful country and its citizens can prosper and flourish. What also gives me hope is that anybody can become whatever they want to be, with hard work and perseverance. 

 

We are better when we are all unified, even with differences in ideologies, policies, and beliefs - and that is what separates America from other countries that try to oppress the opposition. And this is what makes America <i>the</i> greatest country on the face of this planet.

Are you confusing legal immigrants with illegal immigrants?  Perhaps it's because you don't know or believe there's a difference?

 

He never said he would deport any legal citizen or anyone here legally.  Do you disagree?  If so, you need to check your facts.

Well his wife was illegal or does she count.  Is it just those that are caught while illegal or everyone who cheated the system past or present?  Just for clarity

If she was illegal, then she should have been deported. That isn't the case now. Not sure what you expect me to do about being illegal in the past. It certainly doesn't help your argument.

i don't expect anyone to do anything.  It just shows how dumb people are that a man saying these things is married to someone he would've deported if she wouldn't have been granted citizenship after lying for years.  Basically he is saying that as long as you don't get caught, you'll be fine.  

 

The only bad part i see in that is that people like you don't see that as a problem.  Lol 'Merica

Just because someone was here illegally, it doesn't mean it should be permitted since some people got away with it.

 

People like me are saying to follow the letter of the law. I find it troublesome that you think it's OK to disregard it. Other major countries do the same thing but you want to be an exception.
