Quote:PI is an in-the-moment call that isn't reviewable, judgement errors happen, I can accept that. The same is the case with the initial call on the Ivory play, I can accept they got it wrong initially. But the refs had instant replay and a crystal clear shot on the ball crossing the goal line and they still called it a fumble.

PS. No one forced Kelcee to implode like that.
The problem is your crystal clear screenshot showed that the ball was pretty clearly not controlled.
Quote:Crap like that goes uncalled all the time. Could call a PI on practically every route ARob runs. Like someone else pointed out, they didn't call the guy diving at Bortles' knees on his INT, either. Bad calls all around, the Jaguars definitely got the worst of it with the fumble into the EZ.
Exactly, so why are we cherry picking one singular call that was inconclusive.

And since there have been about two dozen screenshots that show clear control past the goalline.
Quote:Why didn't we just run it on 3rd and 1 with Ivory, not in shotgun formation? And why the hell did we call a play designed for Walters? Use your best receivers, Lee would've had separation and the first. [BAD WORD REMOVED] this team.
We brought in Ivory to be short yardage but then never use him for short yardage in big plays. He was even having a good game today.
At this point, I don't think Bradley or Bortles are the answer.  We should think about drafting a QB VERY high next season.

I'll assume you are talking about that, and sorry but that's at all conclusive enough to overturn a call. It's impossible to tell if he has control there.
Bortles was fine. He went through all of his reads and Walters was his last option.

KC made the play, we didn't bottom line it's as simple as that.

I'm a guy that thinks a team should never pass on a franchise passer if he's looking them in the face in the draft, but I wouldn't go into the draft thinking I need to reach for a guy. Just don't pass on Rodgers or Roethlisberger because you just drafted Leftwich.

It was controlled. He reached over the goaline. Nothing else matters after that.
Agreed Bortles did everything he could to win this game.  Another hater with no subtance and wants to whine. Would you like some cheese?

Quote:He is, so is Bradley, so is Caldwell. We need a new HC, GM, and QB.
THANK YOU! someone with some sense
Bortles is not a loser. He was a winner at UCF.

Being here may have turned him into one but he wasn't one.

Can you please get some?

Yeah Bortles is great.  Leads the league in INT's and lowest 3rd down conversions.  He's the next Brady.

That can't be...

We all know Bortles is incapable of going through progressions. Are you sure he wasn't staring down Walters? ;-)

All kidding aside, I thought Blake looked halfway decent today and seemed to throw the ball much better than the past 3 weeks. Can't we at least acknowledge that and stop looking for excrement to bash this kid with?
Would any great QB look good on this awful team - If we had pick one of the greats, Montana, Manning, Luck, Big Ben, etc., they would have all sucked here. It's the culture here, bring someone here to die.

Quote:He was set up for failure.  No reason Bryan Walters should be on the field on that play.  Put Lee where Walters was have any other combination of players on the field and run the same play and Lee gets the seperation needed to make that play.

He was set up for failure.  He is now a failure.

Let's not pretend that he has no culpability in his failures.  People need to recognize that self accountability matters.

This QB has nobody to blame but himself.

Stop making excuses for the fact that BBmalepatternBaldness5 has failed to improve his game.

He sucks.  And he sucks because he failed to get better.

The fact that you are trying to make excuses for him reflects more on you than the rest of the fans.

Sack up and realize that people need to be held accountable.  Even our loser QB.  He's never gonna be anything but a serviceable back up.

Not trying to be condescending, however, Bortles threw some serious ducks today.  I saw maybe 3 passes that looked like PRO QBs.

I wouldn't say he's great, but if you watched the game and thought, as you watched passes dropped and fumbles made, "Bortles is the reason we're losing this game" then you weren't watching the same game as the rest of us.

He wanted to win. No one was open he ran and chanced injury to win.  So yea... He was good this game.  Hurns on other hand.  Why did we pay him again?
