If Khan doesn't take care of business today with Gus, how many more blowouts till he does?

Bahahahaha!!
Just woke up. Khan is still an idiot

Double post
I hope fans either stop showing up to games or bring bags for their heads or something if they're still going to go. I wouldn't go if someone gave me a free ticket. Do something to make it known how pissed off they all are about this dumpster fire.

I'll believe it when I see it. I highly doubt, even if he plans to fire him, that Khan would tell the media last night "oh yeah we plan to fire Gus, check back tomorrow afternoon"
He's fixing to need to make a business decision. The remaining home games this year are going to get very ugly if something isn't done and they continue to get embarrassed like they've been in the Raiders game last Sunday and then getting manhandled by the tacks last night. It's pathetic man. Even the media is pushing for this. The halftime reporter was flat out asking Gus questions that you know he's too chicken [BLEEP] to flat out answer. "Have you lost the team?" LOL. "Can we expect a QB change?". LOL.

Between Phil Simms ripping this entire team last night. And between the halftime comments from Bill Cowher and Deion Sanders. It's just time man.... it's overdue. 14 and [BLEEP] 41. FOURTEEN & FORTY-ONE!
I've been a football fan since 1977.

This is as bad as it's ever been.  Even if you excluded the first three seasons and just focused on this season, it's still bad.  We've had ONE (1) good quarter of footballout of the last TWELVE (12), and that's against a 1 win Bears team.  If, as Khan and Caldwell have stated, a winning season is a reasonable expectation, and we're 2-5 now with our schedule, what is the soonest Khan would make a change?  If not today, perhaps when it becomes mathematically impossible for this team to field a winning record?

I'm tired of this crud.

I've followed the Jags since Day 1....jumped from the Falcons......but this crap is starting to make me question whether I should just give up on this McFranchise who seems only intent on $$$$ rather than football.

That's the part I really don't understand. If he were all about the $$$ wouldn't he have already made a decision by now because I'd think ultimately they'd be losing out on money at this point or if not now literally any day. That just tells me he doesn't know what he's doing or he doesn't want to make a decision.

that face is eerily familiar. I can work out where I know that dude from
Quote:Khan is so clueless that he doesn't even know what to do
This shows a complete lack of knowledge of Khan. He knows what to do.
Quote:I along with everyone knows Gus isn't the man for the job. But making an in-season change isn't changing this 2-5 team. We are going to be picking in the top 10, at worst top 12 either way whether it's Gus or Marrone.

Calling Khan "clueless" because he doesn't fire Gus immediately is just laughable. He is a business man. He knows what he's doing. He knows how bad we're playing, he is in a suite every week watching the same game we are.

He'll likely be fired tomorrow with the quote, as I'd say it hints at it. If not I'll be upset, but this whole "idiot" and "clueless" talk is just ridiciulous.

But hey, it's coming from "Mr. Welp", so doesn't surprise me.
You hit it all my man.

Well yeah. Shad Khan is not an idiot in terms of his business practice outside of the league, he is worth billions for crying out loud. Being good at making a bumper does not equal a good football owner though.

I agree.  At least I hope that Khan is just not telling person A that person B is fired until person B is actually fired.

So in spite of Khan's statement, I think there is a better than even chance that Gus will be fired today.
Maybe the fans should file a class action lawsuit. The owner and GM engaged in deceptive trade practices to get people to buy season tickets by talking up the team and basically lying to get people into the door.

They won't fire Gus now because they want it to be fresh in our minds when it's time to renew that there will be excitement for next year. We have a Khan-man as our owner!
Quote:His plan to move the team to London.  Make the Fans not care anymore then he can move it overseas.
He has invested a lot of money in this stadium and has no intention to move the team.  There is no credible evidence that Khan has any intention to move the team.

No. Khan is just truly inept.

Any semi football intelligence owner would use this time to EVALUATE Doug Marrone for the rest of the season before finding a PERMANENT head coach at the end of the season.

The permanent coach would still generate season ticket sales....the ownership is just truly inept
you make the change in mid season. Yes it won't stop us from getting a top 5 pick. But it will hopefully fix the culture.

My biggest problem is the lack of disciple, we have to lead the league in personal fouls, and penalties. We are teaching these young players bad habits. The personal fouls comes down to coaching plain and simple. Nothing worse than watching the game and thinking ok 3 and 7 we can stop them here and we are ok.....nope pass interference on a catch they had no chance of catching or even worse we stop them 2 yards short but figure hey ya know whats a good idea i think i will jump on that pile.

When Khan said gus has another year and gave him that extension......I'm betting he never dreamed of being in this position.

Heck no one did.

Give him a chance to think it through, he has to know he's damaging the fan base he's worked hard and spent a lot of money to rebuild.

He'll come to the right on only decision. He's got to....

you are wrong... the players have quit.. they have also got worse under bradley... firing him now lets them play with some passion again, and they can finally maybe start getting better

right now, all this does by keeping him is further run our players into the ground both mentally and skill wise
