Gus has gotta get fired. Doesn't khan understand that Gus is toxic to the young players we have?
You have to love the message board cowboys calling the billionaire an idiot. LOL!

Gus needs to go... either today or at the end of the season makes no difference.

Quote:you are wrong... the players have quit.. they have also got worse under bradley... firing him now lets them play with some passion again, and they can finally maybe start getting better

right now, all this does by keeping him is further run our players into the ground both mentally and skill wise

I've been thinking this for a minute now, it literally makes no sense to keep Gus around. If I were one of the players and I found out the person instilling the losing philosophy was gone I'd think I would feel revitalized about my career and my team and that change is coming. Then again I'm not in the locker room so I have no idea if these guys still buy into his BS or are afraid of it getting worse if someone else comes in.
This team is a joke. Simple as that.

Is the conference today televised or is it a team conference?
Quote:Then again I'm not in the locker room so I have no idea if these guys still buy into his [BAD WORD REMOVED] or are afraid of it getting worse if someone else comes in.

Yeah they have quit and been called out for it. At this point they aren't going to the postseason so all they can do is ruin our draft position. Players don't care about draft position but human nature is to go through the motions with the coach you know.
Quote:When Khan said gus has another year and gave him that extension......I'm betting he never dreamed of being in this position.

Heck no one did.

There's a bunch of us here who did.
Something I've been thinking about a while and I think is probably the case, is that maybe the players that the new regime inherited weren't actually as bad as we've all been led to believe. They have just been scapegoats for the true problem; an inept and completely over their heads coaching staff (head coach).

Don't interpret this idea to say that the players were good back then, but maybe they weren't the biggest issue..

From the beginning I always thought the Bradley could only go so far. Him not talking about wins and "staying the course" and "getting better every day" is not NFL coaching. That's a minor league thought process and we are unfortunately seeing the results of this massive hiring mistake.
So let's keep a coach that the players clearly quit on furthering embarrassing the fan. Brilliant plan Khan.

Very very true. The results are a flatline and there is nothing you can point to that shows progress. The try hard first year team with Gabbert/Henne is no different from any of the Bortles time.

More overnight fodder

Hays Carlyon @HaysCarlyon

Yep. I paid him to coach this season and he'll coach this season. https://twitter.com/ryanohalloran

The longer Khan sticks with Bradley, the more Jacksonville is likely to stagnate and wind up right back where it was before Bradley arrived.

This is the new problem.
This is why he needs to be fired now. His culture continually has poisoned the minds of most of these players to have a lack of accountability. Look at what it's done to the quarterback. Blake couldn't care less. And that trickles down to the rest of the team. Media worry about the fans becoming apathetic but in reality it's the players who have.

Thank you. The quicker we get rid of him the quicker we can change this loser, happy to lucky [BLEEP] show culture.
Right. A lot can happen in the minds of these young players between now and the end of the season. The worst thing that can happen is these players get mad at the fans and get it in their minds that they want to play elsewhere. That's my biggest fear in keeping this clown.
Mark Lamping seems like a pretty sharp guy and probably has Khan's ear. Khan has no idea what he is doing with the football side of this team.

Lamping needs to pull Khan aside and tell him something needs to change.

This is an embarrassment.

Still nothing? Lol

that's what I'm saying.. whenever an underperforming coach gets fired, the team always comes out busting [BLEEP] the rest of the way... doesn't mean they suddenly win, but they suddenly are playing way harder and better

that is exactly what will happen here for the final 11 games the minute this moron is announced fired
Quote:There's a bunch of us here who did.

yep... you can say that again
Khan is a complete tool. He is ruining this team more than Bradley simply by allowing Bradley to be here still.

Our young talented players are getting poisoned. They are getting sucked into the losing is accepted atmosphere that this owner has created.

Won't surprise me if guys like robinson, telvin, ramsey, gipson, etc never are the same players they once were after this season if Gus isn't removed now

I honestly don't see a winning season in this teams next 5 year future with this owner. Things are literally as bad as they were in Gene's first year or 2 where he purged the entire roster and picked up a bunch of D3 guys to fill out the roster

Quote:I struggle to understand how people can watch the games and NOT see the talent, and NOT see it's simply terrible coaching.

The players are there.

GM job is solid.

Dave has to fire Gus and acknowledge the coaching job is NOT getting done.

Really? Where is the talent? Where's the simplistic brain power to hold contain on 3rd and 12? That's coaching? other than two or three guys, I think everyone is delusional about the "talent" on this team. Talented teams don't get beat like that, sorry.

I was of the thinking last year that Caldwell was doing a good job and coaching was the problem.

But it obvious this year that both are a problem. There is some talent, but overall it is still severely lacking.

Caldwell's picks in the first, second and third rounds have not turned out well overall. His free agent classes are largely terrible.

Not to mention he was the one that hired Bradley, and kept him after last season.

Caldwell is as much to blame for this mess as Khan and Bradley are.

Nobody wants to go through it again, but the team does not have a choice but to clean house again.
