I wonder if Gus told him they need a new waffle cone maker or if they went with the fresh sprinkles machine.

Either way I'm sure Khan is right on it. Nothing is too extravagant if it's Gus asking for it.
Quote:Oh boy.... why ask the players and coaches what can be done? That just screams of clueless owner. What are they gonna say? This sounds pointless to me and kind of shows Mr. Khan doesn't have the balls to do what's needed.... I'm not trying to add more negativity, but this just seemed pointless; unless it was individually done.

The gentleman is in the automotive parts production business. This method has been proven to improve and increase production. You gather information and feedback. You pool it all in the middle and sort accordingly. Also, it motivates by getting everyone involved and displaying valued feedback. It makes everyone want to try harder to accomplish set goals when the big man gets involved.
Quote:A report from a fly on the wall.

Players...Don't blame Gus. It's on us. Gus is great. We love him.

Khan....You love him? Then play like you do. Otherwise the guy you love will be [BAD WORD REMOVED] canned.

It's up to you. You control this.

This actually seems likely.
So he's asking the coaches - supposedly the very best in their chosen profession - why the team isn't winning, and what can be done to fix it? Hey Shad, have you seen the last four years? You think those are the guys who have the answers? If they did, I'm guessing the team would be winning right now.

I can see gus now, "what had happened was...."

Quote:Nothing is happening on Friday if we lost. Don't get your hopes up. If Khan were serious about saving the season, he would have fired Gus after the humiliating loss in San Diego.
You don't fire the coach after two games. I mean, Lane Kiffin got four.

Hopefully Friday morning brings the end of the Bradley error.
Khan is clueless. If he was truly was serious about fixing things, he would've talked to the players separately from the coaches. Rarely will people call out their coach in a crowded room, in which the coach is in attendance. Ideally, he should be holding private one on one meetings with the players. I bet a lot more things would have gotten "aired out" if it was handled this way. Personally, I believe Gus is safe until the end of the season. Something tells me we eak out a win over Tennessee in a low scoring game and it will buy Gus enough time until the end of the season. I know this is not what everyone wants to hear, but it's what I believe will happen.

They didn't even think about years one and two.  Last year was rainbows and lollipops and a message to keep revenue on target.  They have internal numbers they want to see that they will never share with the fan base.  This is the beginning or the end depending on the results the next 10 games.
Khan has been watching football for a long time. He can clearly see that the players on the field are struggling to execute even the most basic of plays. It has little to do with coaching. He probably asked the players why they should get their checks.

It's what has historically happened. Gus wins by a hair in a game that would serve as a logical firing point, then puts together a couple of meaningless wins toward the end of the year to earn a vote of confidence and a signature on his check for next year. I want the Titans to embarrass us on national TV, with an epic collapse like Sunday's at the end. That's incredibly hard for me to say, and I know J-Dub is lurking somewhere waiting for the chance to tell me I'm not a fan, but I want us to get plastered so badly that Khan has no choice but to end it.

"We will take a look at it"

"We will look at some things"

"Its a good learning opportunity"

"We have to find the truth"

"We have to stay the course"

"Trust the process"
Good I hope they listen

We're going to look at the film and make our corrections.

Thankfully Thursday night is another opportunity to be the best team we can be.

YES! He probably told them to think about what he asked and told them to get back to him later...maybe thru email maybe through written response, but I can't say that for certain, but Khan would know that the players aren't going to throw anyone under the bus

Quote:True. But if you're wanting the answers being asked, it needs to be done properly. I doubt any of the players are going to point out the coaches; even though I guarantee some are thinking it. He should have spoken with the entire team individually or maybe the leaders to minimize time. It just sounds like a waste of time.

Terry Pegula had a similar meeting with the players. Days later, Greg Roman was fired. Obviously it helped that no coaches were at the meeting.

How many times have we read reports about players throwing coaches under the bus through media sources? No Jaguars players will do it because they know when to keep their mouths shut.
Looks like Gussy forgot to put the cover sheet on his TPS reports
What is troublesome is to see the Team has the talent.  Time and time again the have shot themselves in the foot. Errand passes, dropped catches, missed blocks, and stupid penalities have summed up this team.  IF they can correct half of those thins this team could be 4-2 right now and not 2-4.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Or something like that.
I don't know Gus personally but he seems like a very likeable guy.  He might even been a good defensive coordinator.  At Head Coach he stinks.  There is no shame in taking a step back because many defensive coordinators have great careers. Bradley could be such a likeable guy it's hard to fire him from a personal standpoint.   That being said it is a business.  If we lose another game tomorrow I believe a shakeup is in order.  That would put us a 2-5 and in the division basement once again.  Too much talent on this team to continue to lose like this.

I'm glad Kahn spoke up. It sends a message to the coaches and the players.
