Jags had an opportunity to pursue Brees when he left SD.  Can't recall who our QB was back then.  Maybe Leftwich or Garrard.

Well this aged poorly

How so? Wanting a QB who plays consistently well is the goal of every team. Bortles played an excellent game today, but he still has to be consistent throughout the season. Hopefully, he keeps this up and we can put the QB issue to bed for good.
