Who drinks beer this early? Everyone knows that it's Bloody Mary time.
Bloody Marys are a great breakfast.

I know. That's fantastic. I hope he keeps it up.

Since we are imagining, just imagine if Blake had Jerry Rice.

Don't have to imagine anything......we're livin' the dream man.
When did you see the Jags ranked #1 and the media saying they deserve it?!

I think you mean Jerry Rice in his prime? He'd be kinda useless at his current age.

I'm more optimistic about this season, than any season in our history. I'll admit, I'm kinda concerned about the LT position, but hopefully that works itself out in one way or another. I really think this could be our year!

Just imagine if we had a really good QB to go along with our dominant defense. This team could be the best team in NFL history. Oh well, I guess I should be grateful for the defense we do have instead of the QB we are missing. It's still nice to imagine though. Maybe, someday..........
You know what all those QB's have in common? With maybe the exception Rivers? Same head coach. Rodgers has been with McCarthy since day one. Brees has been with Payton since day one. Brady has been with Belichick since day one. River has always been gifted and talented. They just can't seem to keep a team around him. Which is why he hasn't been to an AFCC game in nearly a decade.
But for the most part all of those QB's have had a well established coaching staff in front of them since day one. You can't say the same for Blake Bortles. I am not trying to make excuses for him. But to act like all of these other QB's haven't been set up to succeed more in better situations with better coaching is an understatement. Bortles has had maybe two or three offensive coordinators in four years.
So are you saying those QBs are successful for the simple fact that they've been with their head coach since day one? Lul.

It's simple on paper and not so simple in reality. Of course you'll always see players coming and going. And you'll see assistant coaches moving onto new opportunities. But there's a reason why guys like Rodgers, Brees and Brady have won Championship games and why other top tier QB's like Rivers and Ryan have fallen short.
It all starts in the front office. And this is the first time in over a decade that this franchise has finally had some consistency and discipline instilled in the coaching staff and so forth. The players bought into what Marrone and this front office have been preaching since taking over full time in 2017.
Marrone is a no nonsense football coach. He's from the same tree that Parcells started back in his day with the Giants. Between Belichick, Coughlin & Payton he's had a lasting impact in the NFL. Marrone cut his teeth with Payton in New Orleans. He knows what it takes to win a Superbowl.
I think we have a shot this year. I really do.
