Quote:Its amazing how the party that proclaims to represent Christian value believes every poor person is poor because they want to be poor and is too lazy to get a job.
LMBO. I know plenty of republicans who couldn't care less about Christian values and the republican party doesn't actually represent Christians, it represents conservative ideals some of which happen to line up with Christian values. That's like saying everyone who is a democrat is a heathen atheist who believes in free college, homes, phones, etc., and I know plenty who don't agree with that at all.

Marxism and the concept of Christian charity are almost completely opposite one another.
Quote:I honestly can't say because those were different times back then. People (society) thought very differently than they do now. I guess you would have to ask a person who was in their 20's back then since they would have a better understanding of the mindset. We can think we know but unless we were around to actually know then we really don't. Hell, people (society) think very differently now than 20 years ago.

I don't think its all that different. The racist just do a better job at remaining hidden, although now they seem greatly agitated.

That may be true but I imagine there are far fewer truly racist folks than you think there are. Having an opposing opinion on racial issues doesn't make one racist, they just have a different POV. Outright racism is much different than disagreements.

I will edit this by adding that I am aware racism exists. I know it's an issue. But not everyone who is not black is a racist.

Quote:What kind of SUPPORT are people of color looking for?

Why do people of color need SUPPORT?

Why can't they SUPPORT themselves?

Nobody wants to take a crack at it? No pun intended.

Maybe people don't want to waste their time attempting interact with someone who has such a predictably simplistic view of a complex matter?

Or the truth shatters their worldview.

Feels>Reals isn't truth. It's a simplistic opinion on a complex matter.

The questions are fair ones even if asked by someone you don't agree with. But we've had this discussion and nothing was settled so there's no point in dragging it out IMHO.
Quote:Interestingly enough...nobody wants to answer these simple questions.

Because you are asking the same question just phrasing it different.

You or nobody has answered the questions...you know the answer, you just don't want to admit it.

You honestly can't say, because it proves that you support a racist political party.  LOL

Careful, she may put you on ignore!!  And then you'll really be sorry!!!
But, but, but...what can you do for me?

I've been meaning to respond to you.

First thing, I have to answer your questions, with a question...

Do you think that blacks have started from an even starting point since the beginning of the Civil Rights Act?

Most people think that alot of blacks have been oppressed in several different ways thoughout time and that the Civil Rights Act of the 1960s has helped but has not leveled the playing field.

Do you believe that?  Or do you think that whites and blacks have equal opportunities and equal outcomes?

No one has ever or will ever start from "even", reality doesn't work that way. And you will never get equal outcomes either, it's an impossible pipe dream.

We have a black President.

I didn't ask about an individual person.

I asked about an entire group of people...

Of course individual outcomes will differ for countless reasons.

I'm asking about the entire group of former slaves that had a pretty rough go of it until the 1960s.  Are they back to even?
Quote:We have a black President.

Do we?  Do we have a black President?

Or do democrats have a black President, and the rest of the GOP have a Kenyan Muslim that has destroyed our country?

Also----  YOU DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION

Right, because individualism is anathema to your group identity politics. Sad.
