What caused the collapse?
Quote:And under whose leadership and majority did the collapse occur under?

The Dems had a majority of the House and the Senate beginning in January 2007. You know, the ones who write the laws (at least before Boehner and Ryan decided to rubber stamp whatever Obama sent them). Bush was a Pub, but not a conservative. The Dems controlled both houses when the TARP bailout was passed, and Hillary is owned by the big banks.

The 2008 collapse was mainly due to the Feds forcing the banks to give mortgage loans to unqualified applicants, which was a Dem program. The banks themselves took advantage of the law to pad their revenue. The failure to recover to 2007 levels is on the Dems who controlled the presidency, the Senate until 2014, and the House until 2010. Even after taking over both houses in 2015, the Pubs gave Obama everything he asked for in the budget. We're still at a median income below 2007, and tens of millions of working-age Americans are jobless but don't count towards the unemployment figure.

It's never worked for them, and never will.

Their foundation is a ruling class and everyone else, who are kept down by design.

What specific legislation did they draft that caused the banking crisis of 2008?
Quote:47% of people on welfare are on welfare for longer than 5 years...that's just wrong.

Well it takes 5 years to fill out a job application

In all seriousness, are you familiar with what happened in 08?

In all seriousness is that your retort?
I could tell you the story of housing policy starting with the passage of the community reinvestment act, the advent of the adjustable rate mortgage its origional purpose, perversion, marketting mistakes, the inherent flaw in commission structure for mortgage brokers, the advent of credit default swaps, the actions of the Clinton treasury department and the history of fannie mae and freddie mac, but before i take the time to type out 4 pages of text, i'm curious to know your background on the topic.

The cliffs notes version is the central economic planning always fails, but that should be obvious, given with the whole twentieth century and all.

How is that proof of rubber stamping everything he sends.

Read the article.

The number of "Democrat wins" is higher than the number of "Republican wins." And if you read more closely you'll see that the "Republican wins" are trivial.

Basically Obama got everything he wanted in the bill, while tossing in a few meaningless scraps.
The Republicans won the House and Senate in 2014 running specifically against Obama's policies, yet all of those policies were fully funded in the 2015 and 2016 budgets. The voters chose a direction and the rulers just ignored them.

Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, lather, rinse, repeat. We are subjects, not citizens.

I fail to see how one bill is representative of "rubber stamping everything he sends".

One bill to fund them all.

He's sent on bill to them in almost 8 years? One bill constitutes everything?

It's ok to admit you just used hyperbole.
