That's my strategy!

That seems to be the actual way many fans look at it unfortunately.

In reality, they should both shoulder blame and praise, but the proper proportions they are actually due will likely never be known outside of the front office.

Completely agree. We never knew who did what and as it's not one GM, people draw really weird lines on where responsibility lies.

Edit: Holy cow, we are basically 4 days away from football!!
Jags claim Austin Calitro from Seahawks. LB and waive giles harris.
Nice breakdown of Calitro rookie season here:

Talking with a few Seahawks fans they all agree that he was a good tackling machine but struggled in coverage. (as shown in the video above).
This preseason they all agree that he took a big step and played really really good.
Here's hoping he's a LB that can help in the rotation, he certainly seems way more ready than guys like Giles-Harris

Ozigbo will be solid and has the potential to be a good RB in this league. I feel good about our top 3 RBs, not sure about Erwin as I haven't watched him.

The most intriguing addition is probably Seth DeValve. Watching film you can see how athletic and how well he moves (translates to his measurables...4.68 on 40 yards, 40 inches vertical jump and above all 6.96 3 cone drill), very good hands.
Still he's a bit of a mistery, he wasn't consistent and struggled with injuries for most of his time in the pros.
If he stays finally healthy and everything clicks for him he has the potential to be a very good tight end and would boost our TE group by quite a bit especially while Oliver recovers and develops.
If he can't stay healthy and doesn't become more consistent, whatever, I feel like it was still worth trying adding him given our TE situation.

I feel like these moves definitely helped our depth (at LB) rotation (RB) and possibly our starting TE group. (not that it means much given Koyack level but DeValve is a massiva upgrade if healthy) Good moves to complete the roster, will be interesting if after week 1 there will be any vets brought in.

Now, if only Keelan Doss starts showing good things with the practice squad, it would be a nice problem to have to possibly elevate him from the PS before someone gets him. He showed really good traits and hands in the preseason.
Encouraging thing to me is Calitro played every game for the seachickens , was a starter in 5 games and had 45 tackles.
Also plays other positions and was a core special teamer .
He's a beast that should be better in this his second season.

Thank you for the Calitro breakdown video. In most of the clips he was playing WLB, but he looks like he could also be an upgrade at SLB over Leon Jacobs and as a backup WLB behind Williams and Goode.
