Average at worst. Good at best. Runs behind an average at best offensive line. That makes offensive line a priority over running back.
Over 1,000 yards rushing. Leads the team in receptions. He's not bad. We have bad players in other positions. Why are we focusing on Fournette?

Because the thread title is called "Lets talk Fournette"?

Armstead is not the future.
If anyone deserves to be rewarded on the offensive side of the ball after this season, it's Fournette.
If you don't think he's your future, give Pitt a call, and they likely send a nice package in trade. He seems right up their alley.

Why would Pittsburgh move assets for RB when they have one on the same tier

He is playing for a contract (which could have hurt him a bit) but also kind of "sticking it to the team" by not exerting his full potential on the field.

I mean it makes sense. He's appealing for a contract but yet christ why would you pay for that style of contract when it isn't going to produce because he doesn't play that style anymore? If he is going to play average RB style we can do that for much cheaper!

Agreed.
RBs are a dime a dozen. Heck, last night Tyler Homer (RB for the Seahawks) was running all over the place.
Use a late round draft pick to select one and only use an early round pick if its a player like McCaffrey, Barkley, etc.
