Looks like the titans drafted the right guy in the right draft slot.

I wonder how his variables were impacted by Mary's benching this year.
I wonder if we can see splits for the yards created stat. It seemed to me like Fournette went gangbuster to start the season where teams didn't realize we actually run blocked well to the left side. Remember that stat where he was averaging like 7 yards to the left, 2 up the middle, and 0 to the right.

Anyway, seemed like after teams realized our tendencies Fournette slowed WAY down in the second half. I know that's backed up by traditional PFR stats (5.6, 4.2, 3.7, and 3.4 YPC per month), but I'd like to see what the yards created said.
Fournette is expendable.

100%.

As good as he was this past season (and he was pretty good), he's not elite. Dobbins, Moss, Hubbard, Swift and Etienne? All could fill the void.

Why, when he's already under contract for next year?  A lower round pick...maybe.  Need too much else to waste a higher pick.

I agree. Take one mid rounds, but definitely not day one or early day 2

No, I totally agree. I'm not saying to get rid of him this year but just that he's expendable and I wouldn't exercise his 5th year option.

Your list of backs confused me then because most, if not all, aren't going to be available in lower rounds.
This is just a guess, but he probably had the most rushing yards called back by holding calls (phantom and legit) in the league.

I think one of them could be available in the 3rd.
With the needs we have taking a RB before like round 5 or 6 wouldn't be my plan of action

The line blocked a lot worse over the 2nd half of the year more so than our tendencies got figured out

I think it's more likely that teams learned and adjusted to our run left capabilities than our players just forgot how to run block.

I wouldn't draft a RB this year either, despite it being a very strong RB class. Maybe if Akers slips to the 4th. I'm happy with one more year of LF and then an Armstead/Ozigbo duo though.

We never did anything fancy to the left to begin with, teams weren't selling out on one side of line nor were they doing anything outside the ordinary with an extra man in the box. What adjustment did they make with the front?

I'd draft space back on day 3 depending on other needs but yeah I'm good with it for another year

I like Javon Leake as a day 3 or UDFA RB. He was also a good return guy in college.

I seen the stat on twitter a few weeks ago about how many yards he lost due to penalties. I can't remember the exact number for sure, but I want to say I remember it being in the 200's.

Sure seems on a lot of long runs this happened.

Well I'm glad he got long runs when there was holding because he should ..... although some were bad calls.

Gross.

Good job quoting out of context. Pat yourself on the back.
