1.  He has been described in lockstep by players, coaches, and anyone who covers the team as a consummate pro and ideal teammate and competitor.  Literally the only people I've ever seen question him or his character that way were a few dimwits here or on twitter/SM. The dude has been a pro's pro since day one in the league.

2. His twitter account is not telling you anything right now. He tweets cryptic and existential content all the time and you'd be unwise to assume he isn't open to getting paid right by the Jags based upon his recent tweets.

3. Players negotiate and hold out to maximize that second contract regularly now. It's usually the biggest payday they'll see in their entire career and can set them (and their family) up for life if they get it right. He's doing just that right now. He's going to get more than he's worth. Might be in Jax, might be elsewhere.

1.-Link to all those guys saying all those things about Ngakoue? Pro's pro hahaha hilarious, like when he wanted to fight Dante? sure, Calais should learn how to be a teammate from that.

2.-Yeah, pretty clear his tweets are not Jags/contract related lol

3.-Not all players, especially elite players and true pros they rarely do.

Eh, can’t get rid of it. The problem with removing it is that the NFL will turn into the NBA 1000000%. Small market teams will become non competitive quickly.

It's not like the NBA where 2-3 superstars can disrupt the balance of the league though. As long as there's a salary cap and 22 players on the field (with depth being critical), there will always been room for a well run franchise to thrive even if it's in a small market. Our problem is that we are one of the worst run franchises, not so much that we're in a small market.

That is very telling.

"Treat your players right"  lol.  With your believes, how players should be able to just go to whatever teams they want to out of college, and the players should pretty much be able to do whatever they want and have all the leverage over their bosses and who writes their checks.  The league would crash in no time and the smaller market teams would lose their franchise pretty quickly.  Hey at least you could watch Trevor Lawrence play for the Pat's next year.  I can picture you as one of those guys that jump from job to job and try to tell your boss what to do. Thinking the employees should have all the power

It's a privilege to be in the league. Funny how one thinks these guys are treated so badly with all the luxury they get lol.
I’m not liking this.

Lawrence isn't choosing the Patriots if they are up to the cap and the Colts and their 100M in cap space are offering 30M AAV. The salary cap doesn't go away. In fact you would make it more rigid so teams couldn't play all of the cap games they do now.
Ehhh if you and your family cant be set for life with one year of these ridiculous contracts then they are idiots. Frankly the greed of these athletes and worrying about always being in the top of the pay scale with a new contract will inevitably destroy this league. It has reached a ridicilous level and has for awhile now.

I like football. I hate greedy players. Always have, always will. Acting like 60 or 70 or even 110 million isnt enough for services for a measly 4 years. Gimme a brk. If it wasnt for tv these contracts wouldnt exist.

Yan should get paid. Does he deserve what he thinks he should get. Of course not. None of them (deserve) anything. The omly reason it is even like it is comes from owners simply avoiding strikes during the cba process. My bet is there will be a srtrike this next one as the owners dig in with some hardball.

Greed and stupidity kills. Always has, always will. Time has proven that over and over again.

Apologize for the rant.

Same not happy with the situation. Man we have such a serious black cloud hanging over the franchise. Couglin had to go but it seems like it is the tip of an iceberg of discontent.

Wanna bet we learn in 2021 that no one liked Marrone, Caldwell or any of their coaches. What did Khan talk to the end of career guys that want one more pay day? Jeez

If he won't agree to a contract, he'll get tagged.  If he chooses to sit, he loses money.  If he plays, he makes about $20 million.  If he displays character like He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named, trade him.  Maybe we get 2 #1s out of him, too.  I'm over these prima donnas.

Proceeds to yell at cloud.
Is it harder to rush the passer wearing clown shoes?
I thought he loved playing for Wash?
He’s the only pending FA I’ve seen with these type of tweets basically saying he’s moving on. Sounds like he just doesn’t want to be here, similar to Arob during his talks. I’d be shocked at this point if signs any deal or tag here unless we for some reason far outbid the next best offer.

That is very telling.

Potentially positive since the FA period hasn't started yet, other teams wouldn't have signed him although presumably teams can re-sign their own players. New Chapter may mean New Contract. Or maybe not, dude likes to tweet cryptic [BLEEP] just to get the fans in a tizzy, lol.

He might like playing for Wash..he may not like playing for a totally inept franchise which wouldn't value him correctly however.
Didn't this guy switch to Jay Z a couple years ago for representation? Probably not getting the greatest advice.
