I have a feeling we are at the Luton ceiling with these coaches.  The more time a players spends in this system the worse they play.  So if you like dropped interceptions and weird throws....   wait there is more.  I think Jaguar fandom is proving some sadist streak I didn't know I had.  Either that or Stockholm Syndrome.

Even Patrick Mahomes has dropped interceptions and weird throws. Every QB has those.

Oh my sweet jesus.....

Luton isn't good. And he wasn't good yesterday. We're so desperate for a good QB that we're taking the one long pass to Chark as the sign he's good.

Minshew is better than Luton, by a wide margin. But I do agree at this point we take a QB 1st or 2nd overall.

Wrong!

This I agree with.

He will forever be able to state " I was JJ Watts 100th sack ".
Jake will start again against the Panthers on Sunday:

I usually don't, but this year, why not. We need some change around here and if getting a top 3 pick helps to make sure there's a full house clean on black monday, then I'm all for it.
Backup/spot starter type.

The tanking is embracing us for like all years less 2017.  You can't see the deep need for a burn out of the losers that are making this a historically bad franchise?  I'm agreeing with you this is a full response to JagFan81 as well.

No I know you dont. I often agree with you and I'm starting to feel the same. It feels like I'm on the Titanic, theres a giant hole in the side, we are taking on water and going down fast. Nothing and no one can 'save' this season.

I hate watching us lose but if 1-15 means goodbye Caldwell, Marrone and Wash then I'm on board. A new regime, some FA's and high draft pick and fans may be interested again.
Luton looked like a taller less skilled Minshew.

He had at least 5 passes that weren't picked because the Texans D is just as bad as ours.

I don't think Fields is the answer... but if Lawrence or Mac Jones fell to us... why not? Our city would LOVE a hometown hero... so why not Mac Jones?

Fields looks better than Mac Jones to me.. and it's not really close.

Fields has looked amazing so far this year.

Where did anyone say Luton was a franchise QB?

When evaluating him as a pro, I couldn't disagree more. I see bust written all over Fields. He doesn't consistently go through his progressions and usually throws to his first read or takes off running. He doesn't have good pocket awareness and takes off when a defender gets within 12 feet of him. He doesn't throw that tight of a spiral either and has benefited greatly by having one of the best set of WR's in college football, as they basically are running free. Olave in particular, has bailed him out on several throws.

So you're saying Fields will be a Jag next season.

Mac Jones has been throwing to one of the best groups of WRs in college football history.

Agreed, but he also has one of the prettiest deep passes I've seen in a while. He stays in the pocket, goes through all of his progressions with a good sense of the pass rush. He has excellent pocket awareness. He knows how to lead his receivers to hit them in stride with a tight spiral.

I pray to God who ever we hire is smart enough to stay away from him. He's another RG3.
