I believe they paid Ford in the off-season. He's not starting safety material but he's a Ace on ST and will be a poor man's Honey Badger.
Cisco is a ball hawking safety they’ll probably roll out there during nickel. Quit crying over the 5th corner. They value Tyson Campbell way more than Jones. I’d much rather have a guy like Campbell sticking to his man but not getting his head turned in time. Jones got smoked a few times yesterday by a future UPS man.
Wingard plays wild and not usually in a good way. Stupid penalties. He did get an int I think last year that I remember. He will probably get cut, but I'm just guessing.

Wingard has singlehandedly injured two of his teammates in practice.
And he dropped a tipped ball that hit him in the numbers Sunday.

He gone.

I certainly hope so.

He's also guaranteed to get at least 1 penalty called against him per game on special teams.

He was on the bottom end of the CB depth chart - him being traded away for compensation is a lot better than him getting outright cut if thats what the organization intended. Also, this doesn't mean that we might not make any moves in the waiver wire either.

Plus, with the 3-4 defense, I expect to see more variety in the secondary when it comes to nickel packages and whatnot. Could see the 3 main CBs with 3 safeties from Jenkins/Wilson/Cisco/Jones, one of which who would play a hybrid role for example.

probably more for the other thread, but he was getting beat when he was on the field. Not sure if that means something in our coverage scheme changed and he was slow to pick it up, he lost a step, or otherwise dealing with something.

It struck me as odd because he used to be very reliable, but there were stretches where he wasn't doing much to cement a spot on the roster.
Wasn't Sydney hurt quite a bit last year? I liked his play but he just wasn't healthy all year. Plus he was getting burned this preseason on a regular basis. 1st pick of the second round means they are heavily invested in Campbell. Add Herndon and Claybrooks gives you 5 corners. As stated earlier, look for a pick up from the waiver wire. This indeed paves the way for 5 safeties with the decision probably between Thomas and Josh Jones.

I'll say this much:  he is better than Chris Prosinski and is decent on ST.

Sure, but he's no Harry Colon.

Who is?
Per Jamal St. Cyr per 1010XL

Jaguars cut WR LaQuon Treadwell.

Not a shocker, he didn't do much (again).

That was expected. He wasn't a "speed guy" like Meyer wants.

To be fair he's not a "production" guy either.

That might mean they intend to keep Taven Bryan.
