I am absolutely amazed they cut Collin Johnson. That feels like a mistake to me

Well, he is slow and cannot get separation with pads. So I’m only half way surprised. I would have kept him too though, because he could develop into a redzone threat.

agree. :/

Problem with Johnson is we’ve had multiple receivers sitting out of practice and games and you still haven’t heard any mentions of plays he’s made, so it’s fairly obvious he hasn’t been making any in training as well as games

I did however think it would be him or treadwell didn’t think they’d both be cut

I find it hard to believe that Doug Costin’s story is finished here in Jacksonville.

I'm sure Meyer is keeping a sharp eye on other team's roster cuts. We have first dibs and we were a 1-15 team. Think we'll be picking up quite a few on the waiver wire.

Hoping this doesn't turn into the next Allen Lazard situation.

A lot of people were very confused when Lazard was cut and now he's Green Bays legit #2.

I'm not. Meyer has stated over and over that he wants speed guys. That's just not the type of WR Johnson is.

I liked Johnson but he is nothing special imo

The classic Caldwell draft class. Most flop out of the league.

Jimmy got cut from the team that drafted him too.

This team needs WRs that can separate quickly, as Trevor can not wait too long behind this line. Collin, unfortunately, is not a good fit and is not a ST contributor.

Looks like Dorsett is gone as well... Very surprising as he didn't even get to play game 3.

Dorsette had that pushoff for Lawrence down the sideline in game 3.

With Dorsett gone, the WR room is Chark, Viska, MJJ, Cooper, Austin, Agnew, Hammond?

EDIT: Devin Smith gone yet? OSU guy

A lot of interesting names getting cut this year. I liked what I saw from Collin Johnson last year but he seemed to fall out of favor. Not a huge surprise as it stands today but before training camp started I would have been. Dorsett getting cut though does surprise me. I thought he had locked in that 5th spot. He and Costin I didn't see coming.

Well, I should of said... that he took his pads off so early. I sort of took that as a "he made the team" type gesture. Apparently they had seen enough and just said, nah man ... take the pads off lol.
