He was our best WR because Chark was hurt most of the year and he (Jones) knew much of the offense. Hell last year, Laquan Treadwell, a bust who was signed mid season, made a key contribution.
Jamal Agnew, a converted DB/special teamer, made contributions at WR.
Jones was the best of a bad group. Part of an offense that set franchise marks for offensive ineptitude.
There are plenty who could replace Jones.
I'd welcome Chark back.
Christian Kirk is younger and faster.
There are rookies that could have a bigger impact, but I don't trust Baalke to be able to find them.
I would even argue that Agnew was our best receiver last season before he got hurt.
Totally agree.

If he gets bumped to the number 2 WR and we get a good slot WR and Ertz, Jones could be a good number 2 and put up around 100 yards with 10 TDs as he has proven time and time again. He oozed better and better late in the season when him and Trev finally started to build a connection.
Umm....... Jones played 17 games last season. 830 yards receiving is less than 50 yards receiving per game. Is that all you expect out of your #1 receiver? Seriously? Less than 50 yards per game would be poor numbers even for a #2.
You confuse yourself pretty easy, where did I say 830 yards per game for a number 1 is good? Jones was going against the best corner and nobody around him to help. I like Jones on the outside. If you bring in another outside WR like a Watson or a A Rob, add a good slot, add a Ertz it will make Jones life a lot easier and give him more opportunities. He has been one of the most consistent WRs in the league for most of his career. Last year was the first year he was asked to be WR1, he was brought in to be WR 2 but Chark went down. He is a WR2 and has been a pretty good one for most of his career, you have to give him some help

What if it's Juju?
JuJu is just a guy. He is an immature kid who would rather play around on Tik Tok than focus on football. He would bring absolutely nothing to this team. This is a very, very, very poor free agent WR class. We HAVE TO make a trade for a WR.

I would need Juju (who I think would be good here) and someone else.
Marvin should be WR3 for the Jags next season.
You want Marvin in the slot? I think he's best on the outside. I want a faster, quicker, shiftier,, WR in the slot. Has Jones ever been a slot WR?

Juju and a pick at 33. Say Juju and Pickens?

That would be about the worst possible combo I could think of.

I'd be ok with Juju, high risk high reward. Before I signed him I'd ask him to limit his social media [BLEEP]. Juju would be a great slot, with Jones on the outside opposite Watson, Pickens, or A Rob

He played a ton of slot.

Did he? What %. Most I remember he was on the outside. I usually remember Agnew, Arnold, and Viska in the slot. In Detriot he was usually opposite Golladay

Not to mention, last night you said you would be ok walking into next season with Marvin as WR1 as long as they upgraded LB and OLine.

Easily yes, he almost did as WR 1 last year with no help around him, Trevor will find the open WR and MJ can get open. No I didn't, I said I would draft WR 1 at 33. Watson or Pickens. I said i would be ok if we didn't get a WR in FA if we upgraded the oline , TE, and LB instead over crazy overpaying a WR. Maybe even trade up depending on how FA goes and how the draft is falling

Chark reportedly is in Las Vegas. Not sure if it's business or pleasure.
