Come on now.

The same reason nobody else has taken a flyer on him nobody sees any potential, as I keep saying 3 punters and a kicker have gone in the 4/5th rounds that’s a clear indication of how poor the bottom of this draft is. Teams are just picking up special teamers at this point

Agreed. Again, glad they somehow nabbed a future pick in next year's draft. Even if it's a potential low end 4th RD pick because it's with Tampa it doesn't scare me too much. Brady was pondering retirement for a minute, came out, and now Arians has stepped down and Bowles is the coach.

Could be a very different looking team this year in the NFC South in general. That pick could end up being higher than we think right now. Also, gives you some potential ammo to move up again in next year's draft.

Very athletic guy who played well at senior bowl. A nice little developmental project.

Meh. Heard similar things in the past about players like Rod Isaac and Jalen Myrick. If you like a player, you like a player. Nobody's going to fault them for taking low risk, low reward players this late.

That cb Gregory jr runs a 4.46

Special teamer.

I'm not familiar with the player.  However, whenever I hear that a late round defensive back has speed, my mind immediately goes to special teams.

Although not my first choice, I did list cornerback as a possibility with one of our late round picks.  Claybrooks completely sucks.  He got abused last year when we had to play him.  It was as if we were playing with only 10 people on defense.  Claybrooks played over 50% of the snaps in three games last year.  How many points did the Jaguars give up?  31, 37 and 50.

p.s. He played 0% of the defensive snaps in our three wins.

Also I think I read he can play some safety
Anyone know anything about our new CB?

Very cool.  We can use good depth for sure.
Is it over? Who did we get? Need update.

Analysis

NFL Analyst
Draft Projection
Rounds 6-7
Overview
Developmental defensive back with size, speed and fluidity that stands out on tape against his level of competition. Junior's technique and field awareness could be early stumbling blocks but are certainly correctable. He's smooth and athletic working around the field and teams will go to work discovering his level of talent and versatility during the draft process. He had limited ball production against a lower level of competition, but the traits are present for that to change. He will be an early special teams worker as a draft-and-stash talent on Day 3.
Strengths
Height, weight, speed prospect.
Could offer corner/safety versatility.
Fluid hips create smooth transitions.
Shows ability to flip and flow with a route break.
Might have the athletic ability to cover the slot.
Plus speed and burst to close.
Displays above-average pop as a striker.
Should become a core special teams talent
Take Ross in the 7th. It’s worth the risk at that spot.

Yes.
I get the thought of drafting Ross, but wouldn’t we have a great shot to get him in udfa? I’m sure he’d like to reunite with Trevor and he would have a good chance to make the team. Just make him a good offer. He’d probably take it.

I would go get my favorite option at kicker here. We NEED one badly and I don’t want to have to convince my preferred option to come here.

I think given his potential, it’s not worth taking that risk to me. We could use a larger receiver for the red zone, and he had great chemistry with Trevor back in the day.

I am kind of shocked how few picks we ended up with, considering the draft capital we came into the draft with.
I haven’t watched much (hardly any of) Snoop yet. His size and strength numbers look nice. He just doesn’t have the explosion or top end speed measurables that would get you excited. His numbers look a bit like fournette imo, just lower straight-line speed. Big difference of course is we got him in the 5th round and not 4th overall!

Hopefully he plays awesome and helps keep ETN fresh until Robinson comes back.

Yeah, at first glance, that really looks like the home run pick of our draft.  I don't know if he'll be an All Pro, but he looks really really good.
Run Trevor Run!!!!!!
