Here we go boys and girls, fresh of the bye week (and your annual exercise in Thanksgiving Day gluttony) it's your Official (*) Game Day thread. Last week the Jaguars didn't lose to anyone, not even the bye week as we made a waiver claim of Darrell Henderson, a running back to shore up our now weakened position group after the trade of James Robinson. Although Henderson will not play today we can expect to see him take some reps from the overworked Travis ETN as soon as next week. Trevor Lawrence is coming off of a fine performance against Kansas City where he went 29/40 for 259 and two TDs in a loss to the Chiefs. The defeat dropped the team to 3-7 and all but eliminates them from the playoffs this season.
This week the team must face their greatest weakness as Lamar Jackson brings his elite athleticism to the Bank. The Jags defense has struggled against moving quarterbacks this year and Jackson is the absolute best of them. Though they lead their division at 7-3 the Ravens have played several close games this year including last week's squeaker over the Panthers winning 13-3. While week to week consistency is still eluding them the ravens are a good team and today's game will be another test of the growth and improvement of the Coach Doug Pederson's Jaguars.
Game time is 1pm and the local broadcast will be shown on CBS47.
Thoughts, commentary, observations, and snark to follow throughout the day.
Supposed to be a little rainy early, hopefully Trevor brought his gloves for this game! This week, I suspect we'll get a big game from ETN and hopefully a Jaguar W.
Looks like there will be rain in the first half.
I'm hoping Hamilton is out for them.
We’ll have to change Mike Caldwell’s name to Maginot Line after this game.
As in supposedly unbreakable but actually worthless?

The quarterback end runs through the Low Countries.

More like predictable and unchanging…with Lamar Jackson running through the Low Countries (miles of undefended territory).
I want a big team win here but I need a bigger win for my fantasy league(so I have better chance to make playoffs) and I have Lamar whom I need a lot of points from today. It will be bittersweet to watch no matter what direction this game goes
This will be A TALL Task (W), but it's not impossible to attain.
Time Will Tell.

Expect a close win. I just want to see some changes after a bye week for this team. Have they reviewed enough, have they studied and practiced enough? Will we see a new look defense that snuffs out a mobile QB? Will we see a complete game today on offense with a lot of points scored or the same issues plague us again?

What's happening with Lloyd? Why has he regressed? Any theories?
From my perspective, when opponents got some tape on him they began to see things that worked to catch him out of position in coverage over the middle and a few things that might make him less gap sound vs the run as well.
Once a few bad games piled up from that - he started second guessing things and playing slower as a result.
He'll bounce back IMO.
I also think he's playing through that hamstring injury still. He hobbles at times. Looks like he's in pain.
