You guys are funny. You don't even know thw player and you're all whining. I'm a big PSU fan and strange is a really good TE. He's all-round a good player. He made a lot of big catches down the field and he gets after it blocking. You're gonna love him as a player.

Guarantee you that Baalke will come out and say that Strange was one of their top 3 rated TE's rated, and they couldn't believe he was available. The value was just too much to pass up.

Strange fights his way off the line of scrimmage against press coverage, showing quick, violent hands and good balance.
An excellent blocker on the outside, Strange also adds value in the running game.
He’s also a catch-and-run threat, a creative runner who has good vision in the open field; he’ll be an option to return kicks as well.
Shows good sense as a route runner and provides an enormous catch radius over the middle of the field. Strange has soft hands and uses his frame effectively to shield defenders, making him a major threat in the red zone.
Size limitations are obvious, but he's a tough pound-for-pound blocker.
Looks to get involved downfield and will block multiple defenders on a single play when he can. Understands his role as a blocker.
Everything they’re touting, Washington does better.

He just didn't have great numbers. But he looks good on tape and is definitely a Doug Peterson type of TE.
