Gives Etienne a lead blocker at times and Lawrence a safety valve that's going to take a short yardage catch, embrace contact and try to make YAC happen.
I actually like what I see. Especially around the goal line.

I haven't really declared anything. I don't know that this pick will work out or whether Baalke is really putting on a #BaalkeMasterClass or not (though it's fun to say). I do know that getting emotionally invested in the minutes or couple of hours (yeah right) that the average fan puts into player evaluation is kinda funny and fun to poke fun at. Carry on with getting bent out of shape if you want though. I'm sure it's helping you or the team or maybe both.

He's a better fit offensively. Washington can't work the H-Back and he's too big to do the work in those routes and angles. His medicals are clearly bad. There's a reason he's still on the board man. His knee is an issue...

In all honesty? In this offense? Strange. He fits this offense. Go look at the 14:00 minute highlight reel I shared in this thread. We ran very similar routes and concepts last year with Engram and even Kirk at times. Strange gives you those options + better blocking. He also lines out wide in the bubble screen game.

Eh. If he plays 10 years he is only 35. Hooker is the man. Great pick by the Lions imo.
