This is a good team fellas, I’m impressed. Great coaching and deep talent. Is this for real?

He's playing well.
Man, this team has me pumped for the season now... top to bottom, Doug has them playing with grit and heart. They're all out there trying to make each other better. WR and RB may both have the best depth in the entire league, defense has been good enough, a true franchise QB... gonna be a fun season!

Rourke isn't going to make it on the PS. I thought he would because teams want an experienced backup but he is playing too well for some bad team to claim him.

Cooks reminds me of a baby Kelce
This team might be the deepest I have ever seen it. This is fun.
We're probably going to cut at least two WR's here that end up getting picked up elsewhere as 4th's and 5th's to fill out other rosters that are depleted.

Cooks has to make the team. So does Jones. This depth at WR has been the best I can remember since probably the 90s. With Jimmy and Keenan.

I remember when we couldn't find one to save our lives.

So glad we are having this problem rather than the former.

for about 20 years It felt like the criteria the front office used to evaluate WR's was horrid. Outside of Blackmon, Allen Robinson, Chark for a bit & Hurns as a UDFA it felt like no matter what round we picked a WR that they just couldn't catch or had some other fatal flaw

They could keep him on the 53, but we might want to save that spot for one of these WRs. Decisions....

We could have used these wrs like cook and Harris and Tim jones back in 2020 when everyone had stone hands.
I really hope we can get some late round picks rather than cut a few of these guys. I think as high as a 5 for Rourke.

Is this what it feels like to have a good team?!   Smile Big Grin
Here's my take: As an Ask Vic fan, I really bought into players not plays, and maybe there's something true to that. However, I just don't believe our team went from being THAT bad to being THIS good based on just good drafting. Doug is either scheming for them properly or plays matter. Not sure which, but Doug has transformed this team, imo.

I think they should keep 5 WR's. I don't think any of these players are worth keeping a 6th. if we do i'd like to see Harris as the WR6 and Cooks on the PS

A combination of scheme and the right players. We've generally missed one or the other. Doug has brought us both.
This WR is depth is crazy. I’m honestly glad I’m not the one making the decision. Enjoying the opinions on this thread.
Such an promising season is ahead of us.

Time Will Tell.

NH3...

While Beathard likely remains QB2, I wouldn't hate seeing them let him go, give Rourke the #2 spot, then carry 3 TE, 3 RB and 7 WR... we all know the 4 that are locks. Jones is a very good ST player and a boom or bust option on Offense. He has earned a spot. Cooks and Harris are huge and have very good hands. They also have earned spots. None of them will last on PS, imo... So either they're on the roster, or you lose them. Looking to the future, it's probably best to keep them on the roster than risk losing them.

If Washington couldn't field kicks I wouldn't have him making the 53. There are better WR on this team than him...and the Jags already have Agnew.
