I don’t think they should call it. Other guys are fighting for a roster spot. This might be their last chance.
I hope they don't call the game. It's 8:32 minutes left. There's guys looking to get some tape for a job elsewhere. We really have to start moving forward from this. Not every injury has to be a Hamlin situation.
Game Over

31-18

I honestly don't like this.
Guys. Nothing is going to happen in the last 8 minutes that will sway someone’s opinion on a player.

Let’s gear up for the clots
I too didn't want this game to be over prematurely BUT, this is the Pre-Season trend.

Not sure which, but Doug has transformed this team, imo.

I think the most accurate thing is players AND plays. Need both, you can only get so far with one or the other. There's a reason there are "dynasties" in sports. The right coach builds a great team of stars and role players who can execute the plays.
I missed the last 10-15 minutes. Who got injured?

What's the point of preseason football anymore? If you're going to short change these players? We've already cut it back by a game and extended the regular season and play-off seeding. So, if the NFL is that concerned about player safety and player well being?

A. Why not go back to four preseason games? To give players a chance to keep developing or shore up depth charts?
B. Go back to 6 play-off teams and 16 regular season games so there's no more games in real time when it counts to get somebody injured?

Make it make sense I guess.
Good preseason game. Unfortunate about the injury.

I'm still concerned with the Jags pass rush. I will be all season.
Lord I pray that this Winning Pre-Season (3-0) translates to the regular season.

Time Will Tell.

You say that but what if Braswell or Herndon comes up with two INT's or somebody forces a fumble on ST's or a receiver or two makes another play? Just seems cheap by the NFL.
It's a preseason game. Makes no sense to continue with just 8 minutes left and a serious injury just occurring. The guys on the field now have been for a while now. They've got tape to send to scouts if needed. Nothing else can come of tonight's game except more potential injuries... if it was a playoff game, no way calling the game is even entertained. Regular season, depends on several factors. Preseason? Just go home and don't get anybody else hurt... nbd.

A. NFL doesn’t care about preseason but rather the money they get from the regular season.

B. See A

8 minutes of preseason means nothing. And I get it, players are trying to make a roster but 99% of the rosters were set before these last 8 minutes.

The way you make it make sense is, you realize it's only a preseason game, and nothing else is likely to come of this game. The decisions people cling to during the last few minutes of a preseason game have likely already been made. No need to further risk the regular season product at this point.

The updates on the injury is promising. He should be good to go.

I had this same change of opinion years ago.  I still think talent matters most, but coaching matters more than Vic would have you believe.
I honestly like how college football does it. No preseason and you get a nice exciting jump right in. The first undefeated jags preseason probably ever.

Except this will continue into the regular season.... it's setting up to suspend games due to injury's in the regular season...from what I heard he's going to be fine and they just stopped a game with 8 minutes left... preseason or not this canceling games due to an injury is BS
Could someone just say who got injured!
