Why did the Jaguars draft a RB in the third round and essentially gift Tank a splitting of duties?
I feel like it’s undeserved.
He was a third rounder for a reason and was not and is not an elite prospect.
Etienne is superior in every way. He should be getting at least 3 touches to every 1 touch Tank gets IMO.
does anyone else feel that way?
They are doing what they did much of last year with their spell back
nothing new
7 touches to RB1
5 touches for RB2
A bit too much splitting time IMO.
RB1 is clearly more effective
Awful game by Bigsby
Just awful

He made a rookie mistake and then redeemed himself. He's fine.
He made more than 1 rookie mistake.
Nice that he scored a TD. It still think Etienne is our clear #1 and tank needs to see the field less.
Game sped up on him today. It will slow down. or not.
if its not 3rd and 1 or a goal to go situation where you need hard running in the A gaps; I think Etienne should be on the field exclusively.

Bigsby is worth the 3rd round pick. Our oline was bad today in run blocking. With that said both had a TD

You can't make them better by sitting them on a bench.
ETN had 23 touches today, Bigsby had 7 (8 if you count his tipped INT). ETN still got his.
Bigsby had the first game jitters. Dude is going to be a playmaker and he’s better than Hasty from last season. Just gotta catch the football, but plays like that happen to every player every season.

I agree. Has everyone forgotten about Travis 'Fumbles' Etienne?

It’s part of the game.

If he earns more playing time so be it. I don’t care - the best players need to play.
I’m convinced this was a need pick where they perceive a need for a physical RB that can help with short yardage situations.
I don’t need Stacey Mack splitting carries with Fred Taylor.
This isn’t a Fred/MJD combo.
It’s more like Fred and Stacey Mack. It shouldn’t even be considered a tandem. Of course I hope he proves me wrong but to me it’s pretty clear that Etienne is head and shoulders better than Bigsby.

And then he's not playing at the end of the year. It's a long grind, pitch counts matter in January.
It's a 17 game season fellas. You want Etienne around 20 to 25 touches. More than that and u won't have an rb1 come playoff time.
